The Academy Award-winning Suicide Squad was a big box office hit last year, and Warner Bros. is moving forward with expanding the franchise. David Ayer is returning to direct the Harley Quinn-centric Gotham City Sirens, while the studio is considering a spinoff starring Will Smith’s Deadshot. While Superman has been playing a crucial role in the DC Extended Universe’s team-up films, fans have been waiting for a standalone sequel to 2013’s Man of Steel. A second solo Superman movie was mentioned as part of Warner Bros.’ 2016-2020 plans, and last year, it was reaffirmed that the sequel is a top priority for the studio. The marketing campaign for DC Films’ Wonder Woman is now full speed ahead. Yesterday, we got a gorgeous new poster. And tonight, during the Kids Choice Awards on Nickelodeon, a third (and final?) trailer has been released. In the years since playing Batman in the 1960s television show, Adam West has been involved in a slew of DC-related projects. He voiced characters in a couple of animated Batman shows, while last year, he returned to the iconic role in Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders. Now, he’s returning to the live action TV realm. Recently, a group of journalists and bloggers visited Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins in the film’s editing bay. Collider was among the sites present for the interview. During the discussion, Jenkins goes into detail about her experience with making the movie, telling Diana Prince’s origin story, flashbacks to World War I vs. the present day, and whether there was any mandate regarding the film’s tone.
