Box Office Updates: Aquaman and Deadpool Go Into the Spider-Verse
Two superhero movies took on the domestic box office this week, while another continues its reign overseas and in preview screenings. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse opened with $35.4 million this weekend – a solid start for the universally acclaimed animated movie. The film took in another $21 million overseas, bringing its worldwide debut to $56.4 million. Into the Spider-Verse was produced with a $90 million budget (not counting marketing), so it should easily turn a profit, especially with strong word-of-mouth and holiday legs. Once Upon a Deadpool opened last week, and it has taken in nearly $4 million over five days. The film is a PG-13 recut for Deadpool 2,…

The Next KINGSMAN Movie Won’t Include Eggsy
If where you were hoping Taron Edgerton was returning as the street kid turned super spy Eggsy, I have some bad news for you. The upcoming Robin Hood star confirmed that during an interview with Yahoo UK. He insists that, while he isn’t part of the third installment, that doesn’t close the door to suit up some more and talk about how manners make the man. Considering the third installment is meant to be a prequel that takes during World War I, it might not be so shocking after all that Eggsy isn’t involved. What do you guys think of all this? X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX Pushed Back to 2019, NEW MUTANTS Delayed Again
20th Century Fox has updated its release schedule, and in the shakeup, two X-Men films have been pushed back. X-Men: Dark Phoenix, which was originally slated for a November 2nd release this year, will now hit theaters on February 14th, 2019. No reason was given for the delay. However, director Simon Kinberg previously said that he wanted plenty of post-production time to fully realize the CGI, so that may have influenced the move. Additionally, The New Mutants has gotten another delay. The film was infamously pushed back from its April 13th release to February 22nd, 2019. Well, it’s now scheduled to arrive on August 2nd, 2019. The movie is expected…
