SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Sequel Gets a Title
While we keep waiting for that Avengers 4 title, it looks like we already know what the next Spider-Man movie will be called. On Instagram, Tom Holland posted a video saying that he didn’t have any announcements whatsoever…only to leak the Homecoming sequel’s title in classic Tom Holland fashion. The sequel is titled Spider-Man: Far From Home. The film will see Peter Parker travel around the world and outside of New York, so this title makes sense. In this film (set after Avengers 4), Spidey will face off against Mysterio, who may be played by Jake Gyllenhaal. Actors Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei, and Zendaya are also returning from Homecoming. Spider-Man Character Silk Getting Her Own Movie at Sony
Sony has been working on building its own Marvel Universe, using characters based on Spider-Man lore outside of its deal with Marvel Studios. Venom kicks things off this fall, with Silver & Black (starring Silver Sable and Black Cat) in development. Movies starring Nightwatch and Morbius the Living Vampire are also in the works. Now, we can add a new title to the slate. According to trades such as The Wrap, Spider-Man supporting character Silk is getting her own movie. New SPIDER-MAN PS4 Gameplay Footage Introduces New Villains
During Sony’s E3 presentation last night, a new look at Marvel’s Spider-Man was shown. In the seven-minute gameplay reel, the Web-Slinger deals with a prison break, only to face a few of his greatest villains. We see Electro, Rhino, Vulture, Scorpion, and Negative Man unite to take on Spidey, with hints at a sixth villain behind the scenes. Full Trailer for SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE Released
Sony has released a new trailer for its animated Spider-Man movie, Into the Spider-Verse. The film marks the big screen debut of Miles Morales, the Ultimate Spider-Man who was created in 2011. The trailer is chock full of new footage, depicting Miles being trained by an older Peter Parker. The trailer also shows off the movie’s jaw-dropping animation, new characters, and so much more. VENOM Actor Woody Harrelson Teases Larger Role in Potential Sequel
A while back, we heard that Woody Harrelson had joined the cast of Sony’s Venom movie. His exact character has been kept under wraps, which led to a lot of rumors/speculation that he’s playing Cletus Kasady, aka Carnage. Now, the actor has given a new hint at his role. Speaking with Collider, Harrelson shares his excitement for Venom, saying he was excited to re-team with director Ruben Fleischer and work with Tom Hardy. Despite the events of Avengers: Infinity War, Tom Holland’s Peter Parker will be back in an untitled sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming, which hits theaters next year. With production beginning this summer, Sony and Marvel are now casting new characters. Today, we now know not just the villain of the movie, but that an A-list actor could play him. At CinemaCon this week, Sony Pictures premiered a new trailer for its Venom movie, starring Tom Hardy as the iconic Marvel villain/antihero. SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Sequel Will Take Peter Parker Outside of New York
The first MCU movie to follow Marvel’s two-film Avengers finale will be the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming. Not much is known about the film, other than that it will begin the exploration of a different, post-Avengers 4 world. Now, we have some new details. We have some good news for gamers who have been looking forward to the new Spider-Man title. Sony and Insomniac Games have announced that the game will be released on Friday, September 7th, exclusively for PlayStation 4.
