Barbara Gordon has been a prominent figure in the Batman Arkham franchise, from the beginning of Arkham Asylum to the end of Arkham Knight. Oracle has been there guiding you through it all. Now she is taking center stage in the new prequel story add-on. Entertainment Weekly brings us our first look at Batgirl in the ‘Matter of Family’ DLC. With Batman: Arkham Knight just a mere week and a half old, Warner Brothers has announced the release date of the first story DLC. ‘Batgirl: A Matter of Family’ releases July 14th for season pass owners, while it will be available stand alone for $6.99 on July 21st. During Sony’s E3 presentation, Rocksteady and Playstation revealed the opening cutscene for Batman: Arkham Knight. Featuring fear toxin, a very familiar face, and Frank Sinatra, watch it below. Update: Rocksteady has released yet another character poster, this time featuring Batman’s loyal butler, Alfred Pennyworth. This is the first physical appearance Alfred has made in Rocksteady’s trilogy. Batman: Arkham Knight is just under a week away. Stay tuned for more updates in the coming days. Oracle and The Penguin Star in New BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHT Promo Images
With E3 underway, Rocksteady Studios has released two more Batman: Arkham Knight character posters featuring one of Batman’s most dangerous villains and his closest ally. The first image is of Batman’s nemesis Oswald Cobblepot aka The Penguin. The Penguin is sporting a new design, now completely bald, a loosened tie, and suspenders. In the second image we have Batman’s most important ally, Barbara Gordon, also known as Oracle. She has been guiding players through the first two games, but this is her first physical appearance in the series. Celebrities Play BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHT
Batman: Arkham Knight is just two weeks away. While we’re all eager to play the game for ourselves, Rocksteady has allowed a few notable celebrities exclusive access to the final installment of the franchise. A long list of actors and musicians had a chance to put on the cape and cowl for the first time, including; Neil Patrick Harris, Joel Manganiello, and (Batman himself) Kevin Conroy. If the game is as fun as they made it appear, I think this will be ultimate Batman experience, which was Rocksteady’s goal from day one. WB Games and Rocksteady Studios will have a presentation at E3 2015, so expect even more content in the coming days.
