Dean Cain and Helen Slater Set to Guest Star on CBS’ SUPERGIRL
We have some more casting news for CBS’ potential Supergirl series, and this should excite fans of live action Superman adaptations. According to TV Line, actors Dean Cain and Helen Slater are set to guest star in the upcoming pilot. Details on their roles are currently being kept under wraps. Cain is best known for playing Clark Kent/Superman in the fan-favorite television series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, which ran from 1993 to 1997. SUPERGIRL Casts Hank Henshaw and Kara’s Foster Sister; Andrew Kreisberg Joins as Writer and Executive Producer
CBS has announced more casting news for its upcoming DC Entertainment pilot, Supergirl. Joining the show as series regulars are actors David Harewood (Homeland) and Chyler Leigh (Grey’s Anatomy). The two join Melissa Benoist as Kara Zor-El/Kara Danvers/Supergirl, Mehcad Brooks as James “Jimmy” Olsen and Laura Benanti as Alura Zor-El. Harewood will play Hank Henshaw, who is described as “a former CIA agent who heads up the Department of Extra-Normal Operations and tracks extraterrestrial threats.” In the comics, Henshaw becomes the Superman villain known as Cyborg-Superman. Dwayne Johnson Suggests That SHAZAM Movie Could Release Sooner Than Expected
Last year, before Warner Bros. announced its DC Cinematic Universe lineup, a Shazam film was one of the first movies to be confirmed, along with Justice League and Aquaman. In addition to his work on Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, costume designer Michael Wilkinson also created the design for Jason Momoa’s Aquaman, who makes his debut in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice next year.
