SPOILER REVIEW: Arrow: 5.11 “Second Chances”
Here we go. Please bear with me. I’m new here, I’m a huge fan of Arrow, with a need for a slight romantic vibe, so needless to say, I want Oliver to be with Felicity, but we can get to that some other time. I’ve watched this show from day one, so I’ve been with it through all of its good days and bad days. In my opinion, there’s more good than bad, so I will disagree with many critics of this show. But down to business. This week’s episode covered the introduction of the (potential) new black canary. I’m extremely partial to Katie Cassidy’s portrayal of her, so I…

FLASH SPOILER Review: Episode 2×22 – “Invincible”
The Flash (2×22) – “Invincible” Written by: Brook Roberts & David Kob Directed by: Jesse Warn Oh yeah! With all the Speed Force craziness of last week, I almost forgot Central City was on the brink of the kind of beat down usually reserved for Gotham City. Fortunately, Central City’s finest are… getting their asses kicked. Take Two: Fortunately for Central City’s Finest, the Flash is on the case. Unfortunately for Barry, upon returning to STAR Labs having literally put out all the fires everybody decides that self-confidence is the new word for recklessness. Isn’t that just like these people? Barry shows some competence and energy and they…

FLASH SPOILER Review: Episode 2×18- “Versus Zoom”
The Flash (2×18) – “Versus Zoom” Written by: Joe Peracchio & David Kob Directed by: Stefan Pleszczynski After a quick retelling of the night Nora was murdered and a scene from the night Joe brought Barry into his home for contrast we slide on over to Earth-2 and see the night Hunter Zolomon’s mother was murdered. Recap: SUPERGIRL S1 Finale “Better Angels”
WARNING: This review contains spoilers. The season has finally come to a close, and boy it was a doozy. We pick up right where we left off. Alex and Kara are in a battle to the death, and it’s very reminiscent of the fight in a certain Blockbuster movie released last month. Anyways, the fight is over fairly quickly and it ends with Mrs. Danvers giving a speech that brings Alex from get mind control. This leads into the symbol of Hope speech Kara gives in her broadcast across National City. I’m kinda iffy on the speech Kara gives; in fact this whole scenario fell flat. The entire city is going…

FLASH SPOILER Review: Episode 2×17 – “Flash Back”
The Flash (2×17) – “Flash Back” Written by: Aaron and Todd Helbing Directed by: Alice Troughton So, here we go. Again. The team has discovered that their friend was an enemy in disguise and Barry is taking it hard because “Fool Team Flash once, shame on Thawne… Fool Team Flash twice, shame on Team Flash.” He’s in the midst of a research montage as we open trying to crack the science behind his powers. (And after he figures out that science maybe he can finally tell us why repolarizing the main deflector dish on the Enterprise seems to solve every problem.) Meanwhile “Jay’s” helmet is giving off so many vibes…

FLASH SPOILER Review: Episode 2×16 – “Trajectory”
The Flash (2×16) – “Trajectory” Written by: Lilah Vanderburgh & Lauren Certo Directed by: Glen Winter Okay! So between working thirteen days in a row, a little indie film I went and saw about the Dawn (Go ahead, ask me if I loved Batman v Superman!) and winter’s parting gift of a chest cold I’m not exactly timely with my Flash review but enough with the procrastination and on with the review. When we last left Barry and Team Flash he’d vowed to get fast enough to return to Earth-2, defeat Zoom and avenge Jay’s death. What better way to do that than recreate Evel Knievel at the Snake River…

The Hype is Real: SUPERGIRL/FLASH Teaser Video Released
So before we dig in, allow me to eat crow for a second. Ask anyone here at WOBAM Entertainment and they will tell you I said last fall that the DC/CW-Verse would never crossover with Supergirl. My reasons were that CBS wouldn’t really gain much from the crossover since the CW’s reach is much smaller than theirs and the logical choice for CBS would be an attempt to crossover with the Film Universe. I was wrong, but we all win. In two weeks, Barry Allen makes his way to National City and meets Kara Danvers. We’ve already had this cool teaser poster: Then yesterday, Paul gave you a taste of…

Recap: SUPERGIRL Season One, Episode Sixteen ‘Falling’
WARNING: This review contains spoilers. This episode starts out really sweet; We see Kara doing what she does best, being Supergirl. She helps a young girl who is being bullied, and saves firemen from a burning building. Everything is going well for our heroine, and she seemingly saves the day. Unfortunately she is exposed to the newly discovered Red Kryptonite. A substance that mirrors Green Kryptonite’s affect Kryptonians, but it affects them mentally rather than physically. For most of the episode we are accompanied by who I like to call “Darth Kara”. She is fierce and is the complete opposite of the mild-mannered Girl Scout we’ve come accustomed to seeing.…

Recap: SUPERGIRL Season 1, Episode 12 ‘Bizarro’
Warning this review contains spoilers. After last the couple of episodes focusing on Winn and Hank, it was time that the focus went back to Kara. We finally get to see Bizzaro in action, and boy was it a treat! We take a quick trip to the past as we see Bizzaro’s origin (via flashback). We see Maxwell Lord training this Supergirl clone to kill Supergirl. He makes the clone feel pain whenever she sees Supergirl. Being a clone of Kara means that she has all of her powers and weaknesses, but we’ll get into that later. We see Kara and Adam go on their date, and things are going…
