Dwayne Johnson Talks Playing SHAZAM’s Black Adam and Connections to Wider DC Universe
After pursuing the role for years, Dwayne Johnson is finally set to play the villain/anti-hero Black Adam in a Shazam film. Little is known about this adaptation; Turbo‘s Darren Lemke is writing the script, and an April 5th, 2019 release date was announced last fall. SUICIDE SQUAD Stars Will Smith and Margot Robbie Discuss the Process of Recasting Rick Flagg
Will Smith and Margot Robbie’s new movie, Focus, is hitting theaters later this month. But the two actors won’t wait long to reteam, as they are both set to star in DC Entertainment’s Suicide Squad as Deadshot and Harley Quinn, respectively. Trailer For BATMAN UNLIMITED: ANIMAL INSTINCTS Animated Movie Released
It was announced a couple of weeks ago that DC Entertainment will produce animated movies and shorts for the Batman Unlimited toyline. The first film, Batman Unlimited: Animal Instincts, is set to hit DVD, Blu-Ray and Digital Download on May 12th. And now, via Comic Book Resources, Warner Bros. Animation has released the first trailer. In Batman Unlimited: Animal Instincts, the Penguin assembles an animal-inspired army (an “Animilitia”) consisting of supervillains such as Killer Croc, Man-Bat and Cheetah. ARROW’s David Ramsey Confirms “Serious” Discussions On Whether Or Not Diggle Becomes Green Lantern
One of the longest lasting fan theories for Arrow was that John Diggle would eventually become Green Lantern as the CW-verse’s version of John Stewart. While Diggle and Stewart do share similarities, the former has officially been added to the mainstream DC Universe as his own character. However, a new interview with actor David Ramsey suggests that there may just be something to this theory. Rumor: NBC Looking for a New Home for CONSTANTINE
It has not been the easiest journey for Constantine. The series got off to a slow start in a time slot usually referred to as “The Friday Night Death Slot.” However, the show has garnered a loyal fan base which took to social media to #SaveConstantine. Last fall, it was reported that Warner Bros. was working on a film adaptation of DC Comics’ Legion of Superheroes. It was said that the development stage was very early on, and with WB/DC having since announced its lineup to 2020, it’s unknown where this film would fit (if at all).
