GOTHAM: Donal Logue Actually Offered ‘Harvey Bullock’ Role
This week, it was reported that Sons of Anarchy and Blade actor Donal Logue was offered the role of Jim Gordon in Fox’s Gotham television series. However, it was immediately denied by Logue himself, who said that the show’s version of Gordon will be in his late 20’s. Logue is 47. Now, Latino Review‘s El Mayimbe has updated his original story, saying that Gordon was not the role offered to Logue. Instead, the actor has been offered the part of Detective Harvey Bullock. In the pilot, Bullock is in his 40s (Logue’s age range), and is described as Gordon’s mentor. Mayimbe then apologized to Logue on Twitter for the confusion,…

A couple of news tidbits for Batman vs. Superman here. First off, Michael Rosenbaum has again spoken about his interest in reprising the Lex Luthor role, after his well-received portrayal of the villain in Smallville. He said before that he believes Joaquin Phoenix will play Luthor in the Man of Steel follow-up, and in an interview with Media Mikes, he still thinks the Her actor or someone else will be chosen over him. That doesn’t mean he’d turn it down if offered the role, however. “The fans have been unbelievable. They’ve tweeted me, I’ve tweeted back…I’ve been to conventions and they always ask me, “Would you do it?” And I’m…

Arrow returned with a (literal) bang last night with the tenth episode of the season, “Blast Radius”. Now, The CW has released an extended promo for next week’s episode, “Blind Spot”. This episode is expected to be very Brother Blood-centered, and will also feature major developments for Laurel Lance. Meanwhile, Roy Harper struggles to control his super strength. With The CW’s panel at TCA ongoing, we have another update on one of its planned DC television shows. Or, in this case, one that is no longer in development. The CW is holding its panel at TCA today, and as expected, we have minor updates on a couple of its DC television shows. Network president Mark Pedowitz said he was confident that the planned Flash pilot – which spins off from Arrow – will be ordered for a full series. He stated that the network decided to go with a separate pilot rather than a backdoor pilot because it could have a “big launch”, similar to Arrow. Additionally, Pedowitz confirms that Fox’s Gotham series will have no impact on Arrow or The Flash, as it is set in a separate universe from The CW’s projects. With this and the recent…

With Arrow making its mid-season premiere tonight, interviews with members of its creative team have been going online this week. In TV Guide‘s chat with Marc Guggenheim, the executive producer teases what is coming up this season. He says that while Slade Wilson’s plan for revenge against Oliver was teased in the mid-season finale, we’ll get a much better idea of what he’s up to within the next few episodes. “For Slade, he has spent five years planning his revenge. Suffice it to say that simply killing Oliver would not be worthy of a five-year plan. Between Episodes 10 and 18, which would be the next chunk, you’ll really get…
