First Look at the Children of Thanos in AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR
After years and multiple movies’ worth of teasing, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are finally going up against Thanos in next year’s Avengers: Infinity War. While Thanos himself is going to be a very formidable opponent, he won’t be alone. At D23 yesterday, Marvel Studios unveiled a first look at the Black Order, aka Thanos’ children. The following statues depict the Mad Titan standing alongside Corvus Glaive, Proxima Midnight, Ebony Maw, and Cull Obsidian (who is named Black Dwarf in the comics). During Disney’s annual D23 event, Marvel Entertainment dropped some awesome video game news. The first thing we got was a behind the scenes featurette for Insomniac’s Spider-Man game. Marvel's New SPIDER-MAN Animated Series Gets a Premiere Date and Voice Cast
Marvel Animation held its panel at D23 Expo last night, offering some new insight into upcoming episodes of the company’s shows. They also announced the voice cast for Marvel’s Spider-Man, along with when we can expect it to premiere. Marvel’s Spider-Man will premiere on Saturday, August 19th at 7 AM EST on Disney XD, and it will later be added to the Disney XD mobile app and VOD. This is a one-hour premiere. Netflix Releases SDCC Posters for Marvel's THE DEFENDERS and THE PUNISHER
Marvel and Netflix’s The Defenders will be among the shows present at San Diego Comic-Con next week. Today, Entertainment Weekly premiered a new poster for the series, along with the first poster for the next Marvel/Netflix show, The Punisher. Drawn by Marvel TV Creative Director Joshua James Shaw, the colorful Defenders poster features Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist standing side-by-side. Meanwhile, like past Netflix shows, Marvel’s Joe Quesada drew the Punisher poster, featuring a bloody Frank Castle. SDCC attendees can get their copies of both posters; for details on how, click HERE. The Defenders releases on August 18th on Netflix. The Punisher premieres sometime this year.

First Look: Dinah Drake Suits Up as ARROW’s Latest Black Canary
After the death of Laurel Lance in season four, fans have wondered what Arrow would do next with the Black Canary mantle. Oliver Queen and team eventually found a replacement in Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy). While Dinah wore a domino mask last season, she never donned an actual costume…until now. Entertainment Weekly has unveiled a first look at Dinah Drake suited up as the new Black Canary. The costume makes its debut in the season six premiere, which takes place five months after the season five finale. THE FLASH Season 4 Casting Breakdowns Reveal New Details on The Thinker and Two New Characters
Production began last week on The Flash‘s fourth season. So far, we don’t have a whole lot of plot details. The Thinker/Clifford DeVoe will serve as this year’s main villain, while Barry Allen still needs to be freed from the Speed Force. (That’ll probably be resolved in one or two episodes.) Originally, the script for The Batman was written by Ben Affleck and Geoff Johns, with Chris Terrio later doing a rewrite. After Affleck stepped down as director, War for the Planet of the Apes‘ Matt Reeves took over. BLACK PANTHER Covers Entertainment Weekly's SDCC 2017 Issue; New Story Details
Entertainment Weekly has released its cover for this week’s San Diego Comic-Con-themed issue, and the cover story is Marvel Studios’ Black Panther. The cover features T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman), Erik Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan), and Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o). The issue also features a bunch of movie stills, along with new character and story details. Executive producer Nate Moore calls Black Panther a comic book mashup of The Godfather and the James Bond franchise. “What I think we landed on was sort of a cross between James Bond and The Godfather. Warner Bros. has been developing a Suicide Squad sequel since the movie’s big box office run last year. With David Ayer moving on to spinoff film Gotham City Sirens, the studio has been searching for a new director to tackle Task Force X. Mel Gibson was approached, along with a few other directors. Marvel Movie News Bits: ANT-MAN AND THE WASP Casting, VENOM May Feature Ann Weying, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 Blu-Ray Announced
Marvel Studios recently began production on Ant-Man and The Wasp, the anticipated sequel to the 2015 hit. Director Peyton Reed returns for the follow-up, along with stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, and Michael Peña. Rudd co-wrote the script with Gabriel Ferrari. Hannah John-Kamen is playing a “key” new character, and now, we have more casting news. According to The Tracking Board, Fresh Off the Boat actor Randall Park has joined the cast of Ant-Man and The Wasp.
