Next Year’s Arrowverse Crossover Will Adapt CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS
The CW wrapped up its “Elseworlds” crossover event last night, concluding an insane story that sees The Flash, Arrow, and Supergirl join forces. Without spoiling anything, the event lays the groundwork for next year’s crossover, and now, we know what it will be called. This is the big one, guys. Next fall, The CW will air the crossover event “Crisis on Infinite Earths,” based on the comic of the same name. “Crisis” is one of the biggest DC events in history, popularizing the concept of major crossover events in comics. It pits DC’s heroes against the fearsome Anti-Monitor, who seeks to destroy the Multiverse. The story is known for iconic…

Review: THE INCREDIBLES
In this movie, we follow the Parr’s, a family of five where everyone has superpowers. Both Bob (Craig T. Nelson) and Helen Parr (Holy Hunter) are former superheroes that have now retired their heroic lifestyle. However, one day, their life changes when Bob aka Mr. Incredible gets a mysterious job offer. As someone that doesn’t have the same nostalgic connection to this movie, this was an interesting rewatch. How does it stand today, 14 years after it’s release? While it shows in its script that it was something that was created and released in the early 2000’s, with the animation quality a bit dated, it’s still a good movie. However, I…

Review: BIG HERO 6
Back in 2014, Walt Disney Animation Studios was hot off their 2013 mega-hit Frozen, a film so huge that it is still fresh inside our heads today. So there was a lot of curiosity surrounding the next film from the famed animated studio entitled Big Hero 6. The film is loosely based around a little-known Marvel comic that debuted in 1998, but not even massive Marvel comics fan were that familiar with the characters. Sometimes taking a lot of liberties with your source material can go south extremely fast, but often times it can benefit big time. That’s the case with Big Hero 6. The film follows 14-year-old child prodigy…

Retrospective: THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN
Spider-Man is one of the most popular characters in all of fiction. He’s the mascot of Marvel and a part of the big three superheroes, alongside both Batman and Superman. So, like Superman and Batman, he had an amazing, no spectacular animated series. We’ve talked about Batman: The Animated Series and touched on Superman: The Animated Series so now let’s focus on our favorite teen hero. We’ll be taking a look back at the Spectacular Spider-Man. Spectacular focus on Peter Parker’s life in high school. He’s been Spider-Man for about six months at the start of the first episode. He’s not in his prime yet, but he’s also not a…

PLASTIC MAN Movie Enters Development (Again) at Warner Bros.
Back in the 1990s, Warner Bros. began to develop a movie starring DC superhero Plastic Man. The project was revived a decade later, with a planned film starring Keanu Reeves and directed by the Wachowskis. Obviously, that never happened. But it looks like Patrick “Eel” O’Brian is being given another shot. A Plastic Man movie is now in development at WB and DC Films. It is being written by up-and-coming scribe Amanda Idoko, who was hired by the studio after searching for half a year. No director is hired yet. While plot details are being kept under wraps, the film will reportedly stay true to the comedic tone of the comics.…

FLASH SPOILER Review: Episode 5×08- “What’s Past is Prologue”
The Flash (5×08)- “What’s Past is Prologue” 100th Episode Written by: Todd Helbing & Lauren Certo Directed by: Tom Cavanagh In case you’re unaware of the significance, traditionally when shows reach one hundred episodes they are made available to syndication meaning that local stations can buy the rights to previous seasons to air locally. Traditionally this is where a lot shows become truly profitable to the studio as most shows ride that razor’s edge between success and cancelation. What this means in this age of seasons going up on Netflix as the shows go along is unclear to me but that’s not why you came here. Speaking of tradition, most shows mark the occasion in one of three ways.…

Review: MARVEL’S SPIDER-MAN (PS4)
Marvel’s Spider-Man was our most anticipated game of the year. We’ve professed our love for the Batman Arkham series many times, and our passion for Spider-Man even more. So, what if I told you that Marvel’s Spider-Man was the perfect marriage between the two? Let’s talk some Spider-Man. Insomniac took Spider-Man in a slightly different direction than we’ve seen lately. We have Peter Parker who is in his prime; a 23-year-old college graduate, who’s long past taking selfies for the newspaper. This Peter has been Spidey for almost 10 years, he’s good at, which makes for fantastic gameplay. Swinging is like a dream. Combat takes some getting used to, you’ll…
