Kevin Feige Confirmed for PGA Award
If you are a fan of comic book movies, you have probably heard the name Kevin Feige. He is the main man behind the highly successful Marvel Cinematic Universe. The head producer for the MCU will be receiving Producers Guild of America’s own David O Selnicks Achievement Award, next year on January 19, 2019, during the Awards’ 30th anniversary. The reasoning was as followed “As President of Marvel Studios since 2007 and producer of each of its 20 genre-spanning films to date, Feige is widely credited with creating the unprecedented and ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe,” the guild said. “His forward-thinking approach to production, diverse casting and globally resonant storylines make him one of…

Well well well, we have two Marvel movies going to the Oscars! Who knows which one will take home the trophy? Wait, I’m being told that is not how this works. Apparently there’s multiple trophies – yay! Everybody wins! No, I’m still wrong? Dang it, ok. *does Google* I’m up to speed now! Guardians of the Galaxy 2 has been nominated for best Visual Effects by the Academy. It will be up against Blade Runner 2049, Kong: Skull Island, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and War for the Planet of the Apes. Guardians is up against some tough competition in this group.
