The Batwoman series will be the first time we visit Gotham City on The CW. With Batwoman having a strong connection to Batman, many have wondered if the Caped Crusader would finally appear on television. Well, we finally know the answer to that question. BATWOMAN to Start Filming in Spring 2019
With Batwoman appearing in the upcoming Arrowverse crossover, it would only make sense for them to spin her off into her own series. We already knew that a spin-off was in the works, but now we have a filming date. Our friends at GWW recently shared some new information. Batwoman is looking for a spring 2019 start date. We don’t know if it will be shot in Vancouver, where all of the Arrowverse shows are filmed, or possibly in Toronto, where Titans and Suicide Squad filmed. LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Won’t Be Part of the Next Arrowverse Crossover
Fans were excited to hear that this year’s annual Arrowverse crossover event will center around Batwoman and Gotham City. In fact, Batwoman is going to be the star of her own series soon. However, it looks like one show won’t be part of the event. According to Entertainment Weekly, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is sitting out this year’s crossover. The event will consist of Supergirl, Arrow, and The Flash. No reason why Legends will be absent. It’s also unclear if this rules out any Legends characters in the event or just its episode that week. BATWOMAN TV Series in the Works
Batwoman is coming to The CW! But wait. You’re confused. You already knew this from reading this article HERE? There’s more! We’re getting a Batwoman TV series! Hollywood Reporter has the details, but we’ll give you the gist. The series will star Kate Kane, DC Comic’s prominent LGBTQ superhero, street fighter extraordinaire, working on overcoming her demons. Kate will still be officially introduced in the crossover in December, but Greg Berlanti and Caroline Dries(Vampire Diaries, Smallville) are working on writing some scripts for the character if The CW should choose to greenlight a series. Next Arrowverse Crossover to Introduce Batwoman and Gotham City
Over the years, The CW’s Arrowverse crossovers have featured the likes of Captain Boomerang, Vandal Savage, an alien invasion, and even Nazi doppelgangers from another Earth. Now, in this year’s crossover event, our heroes will be meeting a new ally.
