To celebrate, Watchtower of Babel News is planning a 25-day series of reviews, features, editorials and other posts inspired by the upcoming motion picture. We are only four weeks away from the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and with tickets set to go on sale Monday, box office predictions have begun to hit the web. According to Deadline, rival studios and tracking executives are projecting that the film will open with a $100-140 million opening weekend. The film will hit tracking boards on Thursday, so we’ll receive a more definite prediction then. Of course, this is only an early number; often, a franchise movie will open higher than the initial projections. Funko Officially Unveils New Wave of DC Superheroes Pop! Figures
At Toy Fair 2016 earlier this month, Funko unveiled concept art for a new wave of DC Comics Pop! figures, based on the characters’ appearances in the comic books. And now, Legion of Collectors has officially unveiled the five new Pops! Included in this wave are Supergirl, Firestorm, Cyborg, Power Girl and Black Manta. Yesterday, it was announced that Vanessa Hudgens will star in NBC’s Powerless pilot, a workplace comedy set in the DC Universe. Now, the pilot has added three more actors to its cast, and television fans should be familiar with these names.
