Lois Lane May Be Appearing on SUPERGIRL Soon
So far, Supergirl has included many iconic characters from Superman lore, such as Jimmy James Olsen, Metallo, Toyman, and the Man of Steel himself. One character that we haven’t seen is Lois Lane. We’ve seen her sister Lucy and her father Sam, and there have been references to Clark Kent’s girlfriend throughout the show, but that’s about it. At least, until now. Omega Underground has found a casting call for the role of Lois Lane on Supergirl. The character will reportedly make her first appearance at the end of this season or sometime in the show’s fourth season (assuming it’s renewed). The site also found an audition tape for the role,…

Rumor: Tom Holland's Spider-Man Will Appear in VENOM After All
When Sony first announced its slate of new movies based on Spider-Man characters – beginning with this fall’s Venom – it was initially said that the films would be separate from the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Spidey. There have been back-and-forth comments on whether or not that’s true, while Sony was reportedly interested in bringing Tom Holland’s Web-Slinger into these films. Well, a new rumor suggests that’s happening. Director and Collider Movie Talk host Jon Schnepp said on this week’s episode that Spider-Man is definitely going to appear in Venom, which won’t be as separate from the MCU as we’ve been led to believe. “All I’m sayin’ is Spider-Man, and I’m talkin’…

Wally West is Coming to LEGENDS OF TOMORROW – At Least for “A Little Bit”
[Warning: The Following Contains SPOILERS From This Season of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.] In the last couple episodes of Legends of Tomorrow, the team lost not one, but two original members. Martin Stein was killed off during the “Crisis on Earth-X,” while Jax, the other half of Firestorm, left the team to go on a new path. Since the show is known for its revolving cast of characters, this led to immediate speculation on who will replace them. Marc Guggenheim previously teased that a previously-established Arrowverse character will come in, and now, we may know who it is. It has been confirmed that Wally West, aka Kid Flash, will be…

Rumor: LEGO DC Villains Video Game in the Works
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and TT Games have created many video games based on LEGO properties, including the LEGO Batman trilogy. A new rumor suggests that another DC game is on the way, but with a twist. According to ComicBook, WB and TT are developing a new game starring the villains of the DC Universe. This is a contrast from the last three games, which put the focus on Batman and the Justice League. The game – potentially titled LEGO DC Villains or LEGO DC Supervillains – is said to star many iconic villains, such as Joker, Harley Quinn, and Lex Luthor. The game will reportedly be released at some point…

Mark Strong Confirms Doctor Sivana Role in SHAZAM
A couple months ago, it was reported that Mark Strong was in negotiations to join New Line’s Shazam as the villain, Doctor Sivana. In the comics, Sivana is traditionally Captain Marvel Shazam’s arch-nemesis, and with Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam moving on to his own film, it makes sense to put him in this movie. Now, it’s confirmed. At the premiere of Cirque du Soleil’s OVO in London, Strong confirms to Celebretainment that he is playing the Shazam villain. Following his role as Sinestro in 2011’s Green Lantern, Strong is happy to get a second chance in the DC Universe. “I’m playing an evil bastard called Doctor Sivana, they are always the best characters to…

Five Actresses Who Should Be Considered to Play Batgirl
Following the success of Wonder Woman, Warner Bros. is planning several more DC movies starring women. Among them is Batgirl, written and directed by Joss Whedon. Not much is known about this movie yet, but it is reportedly inspired by Gail Simone’s New 52 run. And it has been listed in WB’s most recent DC slate, so it’s likely coming sooner than later. There are plenty of actresses who fit the role of Barbara Gordon, who has never really been adapted in a live action movie before. (We don’t count Batman and Robin‘s Barbara “Wilson.”) Here, we list five actresses who we would love to see as Batgirl in DC…

Bruce Timm Hopes to Adapt SUPERMAN: RED SON for Animation Next
For a while, the folks behind DC’s animated movies have wanted to adapt the Superman: Red Son storyline. The Elseworlds story reimagines the Man of Steel’s mythos, depicting a Superman who landed in Soviet Russia instead of the United States. Now, an animated movie may happen…on one condition, at least. The guys at SuperBroMovies and Bleeding Cool were both in attendance of a Q&A event following the world premiere of DC’s next animated title, Batman: Gotham by Gaslight. During the event, producer Bruce Timm says that he wants to next adapt Red Son as an animated movie. However, it would only happen if Gotham by Gaslight is a big seller, which…

Joe Morton Says CYBORG Movie is Still Happening, Will Tell Hero’s Origin Story
Back when Warner Bros. released its initial DC movie slate in 2014, a Cyborg solo movie was scheduled for 2020. As time went on and the schedule was more and more in flux, it was unclear where Victor Stone’s movie fits in now. Actor Joe Morton, who plays Dr. Silas Stone, said last year that it was still in the works, and he reaffirms that in a new interview. Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Morton says that there are still plans to make a Cyborg movie…eventually. “From what I understand, there will be a Cyborg movie. It will be about him and I, and about the family that he came from,…

DEADPOOL 2 Moved Up Two Weeks, NEW MUTANTS and GAMBIT Delayed
20th Century Fox just shook up the release schedule for its X-Men slate, moving up one movie and pushing back two more. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Deadpool 2 has been moved up from June 1st to May 18th of this year. This puts it two weeks after Avengers: Infinity War and one week before Solo: A Star Wars Story. Hopefully, the film will still do well while crammed in between two big blockbusters. In a surprising move, The New Mutants has been pushed back from April 13th of this year to February 22nd, 2019 – a whole ten months. With the marketing campaign already started, a delay like this was…

Director Gore Verbinski Exits GAMBIT Movie
Over the years, Fox’s Gambit movie starring Channing Tatum has struggled to keep a director. Rupert Wyatt and Doug Liman were both attached before dropping out. However, Gore Verbinski came on board last fall, and the studio set a release date for Valentines Day 2019. Also, Lizzy Caplan was in talks to join as the film’s female lead. Well, the saga continues. According to Deadline, Verbinski has dropped out of Gambit, citing scheduling conflicts. As of right now, the film still has its 2019 release date, and Tatum is still attached to star. Production was expected to begin this spring, but it’s unknown how that will be affected by a…
