This video feature is part of our 20 Days of Infinity War. Click here for more WOBAM awesome. – Have you ever wondered why Captain America: Civil War was, for most of us, a highly effective movie? Was it the spectacle? The tension? Tony and Cap? Panther and Spidey? The culmination of 13 movies delivering a gut punch? It’s all of those things. And it’s also, Helmut Zemo. Do you remember him? Without an effective antagonist, Captain America: Civil War would have been a complete failure. Today, my friends at WOBAM! Entertainment have teamed with my YouTube channel, Story Bake, to deliver the definitive breakdown on Zemo. We welcome your thoughts on…

Retrospective Review: Doctor Strange
Doctor Strange(2016) Directed By: Scott Derrickson Produced By: Kevin Feige Written By: Scott Derrickson, C.Robert Cargill, Jon Spaihts Hello again! I’m here to talk about Doctor Strange today as part of our 20 Days of Infinity War Series. Click here for more WOBAM awesome. I’d like to start off with two disclaimers. One, I’m a huge fan of Benedict Cumberbatch. I absolutely stole this review from John when we were given the schedule, but he knows why so THANKS JOHN. Two, I understand the casting of Tilda Swinton was controversial, but I won’t be addressing that matter. If you’ve read my reviews before, I’ve addressed the fact that I don’t have any background…

FEATURE: Five Villains We’d Love to See in Future AVENGERS Sequels
To date, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has introduced many iconic villains from the comics, such as the Avengers saga. The first film pitted Earth’s Mightiest Heroes against Loki, the second film saw them fight Ultron, and the third and fourth films will see them defend Earth against Thanos. But what happens afterwards? Thanos is THE big bad of the MCU so far, meaning that the next main villain has a lot to live up to. Here, we list five villains that we’d love to see in Avengers 5 or another sequel. Norman Osborn Of course, Norman Osborn is best known for being Spider-Man’s arch-nemesis, the Green Goblin. But outside of Goblin, Norman has been…

And this is his first superhero movie ever. He most recently worked with WB on Ready Player One. Frequent collaborator David Koepp is writing the script. Following the success of Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad, Warner Bros. put several potential films starring the character into development. There’s the direct sequel from filmmaker Gavin O’Conner, while David Ayer was attached to Gotham City Sirens. Then there’s a Birds of Prey-type movie and Harley Quinn vs. The Joker. Now, the studio has picked which movie is going next. According to Deadline, Warner Bros. has chosen Cathy Yan to direct its untitled Harley Quinn spinoff, which is based on the Birds of Prey comics. Thanos’ Origin Will Be Told in New Novel
While Thanos is essentially be the main character in Avengers: Infinity War, we’re apparently not going to see his origin story play out in detail. With the film running for about 2 and a half hours and featuring dozens of other Marvel characters, this decision makes sense. But fortunately, we’ll learn all about Thanos’ origin – just in a different medium. It has been announced (via io9) that this fall will see the release of a new tie-in novel. Titled Thanos – Titan Consumed, the novel is written by Barry Lyga and will tell the character’s origin. It will be released in November. (The original report stated that the novel…

SUPERMAN: DOOMSDAY Review
Before I start off this review, I just want to clarify something. I’ve never been giving the chance to read Death of Superman, which the movie is supposedly based upon. So I’m going to approach this as a movie on its own and not how it stands as an adaptation. I tried to find some means to read it before I watched it, but with how iconic this comic is, I think you know why I was unable to. With that said, let’s get to the review. When LexCorp accidentally releasing a terrible monster named Doomsday, Superman is up against his most powerful foe yet. As I said in the…

Movie News Bits: AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR, X-FORCE, THE BATMAN, ATOMIC BLONDE 2, ANT-MAN AND THE WASP
Welcome to our latest installment of Movie News Bits. Today, we have some new details on Marvel Studios’ next two films, why Jeff Wadlow’s X-Force didn’t happen, and confirmation of an Atomic Blonde sequel. Meanwhile, Jake Gyllenhaal addresses those Batman rumors. Literally every single Marvel Studios movie so far has been rated PG-13, and Avengers: Infinity War is no exception. The MPAA (via BoxOfficeMojo) gave its rating for “intense sequences of sci-fi violence and action throughout, language and some crude references.” Sci-fi violence and language are in these movies non-stop, so that’s not surprising. Crude references? Hmm…maybe a middle finger or something? Avengers: Infinity War is set to hit theaters…

Review: CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER
This review is part of our 20 Days of Infinity War. Click here for more WOBAM awesome. – No franchise film has ever reset the board quite like The Winter Soldier. In little more than two hours time, Bucky was back, SHEILD was obliterated, Fury was on the run, Steve’s loyalty was questioned, Natasha’s ledger was made bare, and people we trusted were proven the enemy. It was an exciting time to be a Marvel fan, and an even more exciting time to be a movie fan. Joe & Anthony Russo came virtually out of nowhere, and most viewers had no expectations for the directors of Arrested Development. But deliver they did.…
