IRON FIST Season 2 Trailer and Synopsis Drop at San Diego Comic-Con; Alice Eve’s Character Revealed
During its San Diego Comic-Con panel tonight, Marvel dropped the first teaser for its next Netflix collaboration, Iron Fist season two. A lot of new footage was shown, but this was all that was released online. The trailer features Danny Rand beating down street criminals, and it already looks like a big improvement on the first season. Check it out below. During the SDCC panel, the cast and crew behind the new season share some new details. Most significantly, Alice Eve’s mysterious character was confirmed. STARGIRL Series Coming to DC Universe
We have news of a fourth live action show coming to the DC Universe streaming service! Stargirl will be the show, with Sarah Scheer, Greg Berlanti and Geoff Johns to produce. Berlanti and Johns will write the scripts up for the show, with it having 13 episodes in total. The show will air at some point in 2019, and will focus on high school sophomore Courtney Whitmore who inspires a group of young heroes to stop villains from the past. STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS is Returning
Are you ready for it? Star Wars: The Clone Wars will be returning to close out its arc! After unceremoniously being canceled in 2013, Clone Wars put a sixth unaired, “unfinished” season on Netflix. Dave Filoni revealed today in an SDCC panel sneakily titled as a way to honor the show’s tenth anniversary, that the show would be returning on Disney Direct, Disney’s upcoming streaming service. According to the show’s writer(Brett Freidman) back in 2014, scripts had been finished for the show through an eighth season. At this time, it is unknown if those scripts will in fact be used, and for how many seasons the show will air.…

Netflix Sets First Slate of Millarworld Movies and Shows
Last year, Netflix acquired comic book creator Mark Millar’s company, Millarworld. The streaming service intends to create original movies and shows that are based on Millar’s work. Now, we have an initial slate. Netflix has announced (via The Hollywood Reporter) that two shows and three movies based on Millarworld creations have been ordered. These five projects make up the first slate of the new deal, which is worth somewhere between $30-50 million. Millar says, “My wife Lucy and I are 11 months into our jobs at Netflix and it’s everything we hoped for to the power of 10.” The first series is Jupiter’s Legacy, which is being showrun by Daredevil‘s…

THE FLASH: Danielle Panabaker to Make Her Directorial Debut
Danielle Panabaker will be have two chairs in a The Flash episode this season. One, her typical actor’s chair, and two, her director chair! That’s right everybody, Danielle will direct her first episode of The Flash in an upcoming episode (TBD – or at least, we don’t know which episode yet), and technically its her first time stepping into the director’s spotlight ever. Sam Witwer Joins SUPERGIRL Season 4 in Series Regular Role

LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Won’t Be Part of the Next Arrowverse Crossover
Fans were excited to hear that this year’s annual Arrowverse crossover event will center around Batwoman and Gotham City. In fact, Batwoman is going to be the star of her own series soon. However, it looks like one show won’t be part of the event. According to Entertainment Weekly, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is sitting out this year’s crossover. The event will consist of Supergirl, Arrow, and The Flash. No reason why Legends will be absent. It’s also unclear if this rules out any Legends characters in the event or just its episode that week. Batwoman is coming to The CW! But wait. You’re confused. You already knew this from reading this article HERE? There’s more! We’re getting a Batwoman TV series! Megalyn Echikunwoke is set to head to CW Seed’s Freedom Fighters: The Ray. She will play the multiverse counterpart to her current role on CW Seed, present day Vixen.
