First Official Look at Hawkman and Hawkgirl in DC’s LEGENDS OF TOMORROW
Production on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow officially kicked off this week. To accompany the launch, The CW has released a first-look image for Falk Hentschel as Carter Hall, aka Hawkman, and Ciara Renée as Kendra Saunders, aka Hawkgirl. Alongside the photo release is an official description for the two characters. “With powers derived from the ancient Egyptian hawk god, Horus, Kendra and Carter are destined to reincarnate through time as winged, helmeted warriors.” Unfortunately, the image doesn’t show the Hawks spreading their wings, but they offer a great first look at the uniforms. Personally, I’m really digging the masks. Hawkman and Hawkgirl will make their debut in The Flash–Arrow crossover later this…

THE FLASH Season One: What Have We Learned? (Part Two)
Okay… When we left off in Part One, Barry had received his powers and the mystery of “Who is the man in the Yellow suit?” had only begun to be established. Here’s part two of our “What have we learned?” Review Flash of Season One. Power Outage: 1) Is Wells trying to stop whatever caused the Red Skies in 2024? Or is he trying to make sure Barry survives them? Answered: Neither. Eobard’s plan had nothing to do with the red skies other than that was the day he traveled back to the past to kill Barry as a boy. 2) How fast was Barry going at the end of…

PREACHER Gets Series Order; Seth Rogen Reveals First Poster
The long awaited Preacher series has finally been ordered to series, according to a tweet today by executive producer Seth Rogen. He also revealed the first poster for the series (which you can see below), after confirming that we can expect the pilot to air in May 2016. The tweet was later deleted, and replaced with one that left out the premiere date, possibly indicating that the date isn’t set in stone quite yet, or (most likely) AMC told him that they didn’t want an official date announced yet. Deadline reported that the show has been picked up for ten episodes right now, but if the ratings are good, it’s safe to assume we’ll get…

Zack Snyder Addresses BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE Rumors and His Role in the DC Extended Universe
Today, it was announced that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder is teaming up with Doritos for its final “Crash the Superbowl” campaign, set for the next Super Bowl. The goal is for filmmakers to create their own 30 second ad, and this year, the winner will collaborate with Snyder on the set of a DC movie. To discuss this announcement, Snyder spoke with Yahoo!, and of course, the topic of Batman v Superman and the DC Extended Universe came up. Recently, the great Steven Spielberg recently suggested that superhero movies will eventually die out, like the Western genre. What does Snyder, a key driving force in a big…

FEATURE: 5 DC Characters That Deserve Their Own Video Games
With the news coming last week that WB Montreal is making (at least) two video games based on DC Comics properties, I feel now is the perfect opportunity list the top five DC characters I believe deserve their own video game franchise. To make things easier, I am going to give a brief rundown of the origin of each character, just so everyone understands my reasoning for listing these specific 5. Nightwing Origin: The Flying Grayson’s are apart of Haly’s Circus. The ringmaster was constantly harassed by a mobster named Tony Zucco. Who demanded the use of their truck to transport drugs. When the ringmaster refuses to give in to their threats, Zucco sabotaged the trapezes of…

WONDER WOMAN Begins Production in November; Rumored Timeline(s) Revealed
With Suicide Squad now finished shooting, Warner Bros.’ next DC film on the production schedule is Wonder Woman. It was previously confirmed that filming on the Gal Gadot-starrer would begin this fall in London for a Summer 2017 release. And now, we have a specific start date. Appearing at the See Jane Salon Power to Greenlight event in Los Angeles last week (via Batman-News), producer Deborah Snyder talked a little bit about Wonder Woman. She commented on the desire to hire a female director for this project, and she adds that the movie is hiring as many female crew members as possible. Most significantly, Snyder confirmed that Wonder Woman will…

ARROW: An All-New Look at Diggle’s Costume
Last week The CW released the first look at John Diggle’s costume for Arrow season four. While it was met with mixed reception (Magneto was trending because of it), DC Comics has now released two new images of Diggle’s new threads. Check them out below! While the helmet still looks a little out of place, the overall costume looks much better. Whether these new images were always planned or if DC Comics is just doing damage control is unknown. Either way, Diggle was long overdue for an official costume. I personally can’t wait for John to suit up with the rest of team Arrow this upcoming season. As always, stay tuned for more news as it comes. Season four…
