Yesterday, it was reported that actor Tom Hardy has dropped out of Warner Bros.’ DC supervillain team film, Suicide Squad. The former Bane was set to play Rick Flagg, who is commonly depicted as the leader of Task Force X. The studio is now courting Jake Gyllenhaal to replace Hardy. The reason for Hardy’s exit was said to be scheduling conflicts, as he is shooting The Revenant and promoting Mad Max: Fury Road over the next few months. As The Flash and Arrow return from their winter hiatuses next week, we have some new casting tidbits for both shows. According to ComicBook.com, Dexter actor Devon Graye is set to play Axel Walker in episode seventeen of The Flash. Walker is a younger copycat version of The Trickster, an identity previously held by James Jesse. The original Trickster, who will once again be played by Mark Hamill, is an Iron Heights prisoner who helps Barry and Detective West to stop the terrorist threat of Walker. One of the more exciting additions to the acclaimed ensemble cast of Warner Bros.’ Suicide Squad was Tom Hardy, who was set to play team leader Rick Flagg. A few weeks back, we told you that Dick Grayson’s parents would soon be introduced on Gotham.  Today, comicbook.com announced that they’ve found their John Grayson.  That man is, Rob Gorrie. CBS held its panel at the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour today, and unsurprisingly, some new details were revealed for its potential DC Entertainment series, Supergirl. Yesterday, it was announced that The CW will be expanding the world of Arrow and The Flash with Vixen, an animated series that will stream on The CW Seed this fall. The spin-off will be overseen by Arrow writer and executive producer Marc Guggenheim, who has talked in detail with Comic Book Resources about what to expect.
