CW Releases iZOMBIE Trailer and Premiere Date
Just a day after releasing an updated press release for the series, the CW has offered up a premiere date and trailer for iZombie. The show will premiere Tuesday, March 17th (presumably following The Flash) and judging by the tone of the trailer will have a very similar tone to Executive Producer Rob Thomas’ previous series, Veronica Mars. In fact, the trailer points out the link. No doubt they hope to draw in that fan base, considering they were loyal enough to fund a follow-up movie via kickstarter a few years back. The CW’s panel at the Television Critics Association winter press tour is taking place today, and the network has just announced its early renewals for the 2015-2016 season. As expected, new series The Flash will return for a second season. The following scene from the Justice League: War sequel sees Hal Jordan (Nathan Fillion) attempting to score a date with a woman, when suddenly, The Flash (Christopher Gorham) intervenes to inform him that the Justice League is needed for a new mission. THE FLASH Casts Liam McIntyre As The New Weather Wizard
The first metahuman antagonist Barry Allen fought on The CW’s The Flash was Clyde Mardon, who assumed the original role of the Weather Wizard. In the comics, the Weather Wizard’s alter ego is Mark Mardon, aka Clyde’s brother. This remains the case in the Arrow spin-off series, as Clyde and Mark are bank robbers who experience a plane crash during the night of the particle accelerator’s destruction. Clyde died in the pilot, but Mark will be making his presence felt on the series as well.
