One of the most anticipated features for Ben Affleck’s Batman is his Batmobile. At the “Meet the Family” Speaker series by original Batmobile creator George Barris, Henry Cavill News uncovered an update on Batfleck’s ride. After casting a few supporting characters, The CW’s iZombie has found its protagonist. Rose McIver, who is best known for her roles in Power Rangers: RPM and Once Upon a Time, will play lead character Olivia “Liv” Moore in the DC/Vertigo adaptation. The character is described as “a med student-turned-zombie who takes a job at the coroner’s office to satisfy her insatiable hunger for brains. With each brain she consumes, she inherits that corpse’s memories; in an attempt to silence the voices in her head, she works with authorities to solve homicide cases.” McIver joins previously confirmed cast members Robert Buckley, Malcolm Goodwin, Alexandra Krosney, David Anders, and Nora Dunn. With filming on Fox’s Gotham pilot starting soon, we have more official details for the Batman prequel drama, which was ordered directly to series last year. Via the Fox website, the official logo for the series has been released. A plot rundown has also been unveiled, offering more insight into what to expect from the characters and story. Additionally, it seemingly confirms that we will be seeing Harvey Dent/Two-Face at some point in Gotham, joining the likes of Joker, Penguin, Riddler, and a teenage version of Selina Kyle/Catwoman. We saw a look at the headgear that will be donned by Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) in The CW’s Flash pilot and potential series, and now, DC/WB have released a full shot of the Scarlet Speedster’s new look. The costume was designed by Colleen Atwood, who also designed the Arrow costume. Regarding The Flash, she says, “I hope the fans who treasure the character are as excited as we are by what costume designer Colleen Atwood has achieved with this latest version of The Flash’s iconic suit.” The Flash pilot is currently in production, and is expected to land a slot on The CW’s 2014-2015 schedule for a full season.…

David S. Goyer is currently Warner Bros.’ go-to writer for the studio’s DC adaptations. Known for penning Man of Steel and co-writing Batman Begins, he also wrote the initial draft for Batman vs. Superman and is contracted to script Justice League. In the meantime, Goyer conceived the story for NBC’s Constantine pilot with Daniel Cerone, who wrote the script. The nominees for the 2014 MTV Movie Awards were announced this week, and last summer’s Man of Steel nabbed a spot in one category. Star Henry Cavill, who wonderfully portrayed Superman in the Zack Snyder-directed reboot, is up for the “Best Hero” award. The CW’s latest DC pilot, iZombie, has added another player to its cast. It has been announced that 666 Park Avenue and One Tree Hill actor Robert Buckley has landed a part in the Vertigo adaptation. He will play Major, who is described as “a seemingly perfect former college football player-turned-environmental engineer. Major was recently engaged to a woman named Liv, with whom he’s trying to remain friends despite still being in love with her.” Liv is said to be the protagonist of the pilot/potential series. A few months ago, The Vampire Diaries actor Steven McQueen shared his interest in playing Nightwing on The CW’s Arrow. Obviously, we don’t know if Dick Grayson will be appearing on the series anytime soon (if ever), but McQueen did apparently meet with the producers about a role in Arrow. Now, speaking with Access Hollywood (via Superhero Movie News), he once again mentions Nightwing when discussing future projects. “Hopefully soon Nightwing on a show called Arrow, but still waiting to hear about that.”  However, the chances of Nightwing appearing on Arrow are slim.
