The CW Announces Air Dates for the Next Arrowverse Crossover Event
In keeping with the annual tradition, The CW will reunite its four DC shows – Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow – for an epic crossover event. Today, at the summer Television Critics Association (TCA) tour, the network confirmed the air dates for the crossover. But, there’s a twist. Instead of going four nights in a row, The CW is doing a two-night event, with two shows each. A few weeks back, we received some casting breakdowns for The Flash‘s fourth season, which began production a few weeks ago. Jaume Collet-Serra Won’t Direct SUICIDE SQUAD 2 After All
With David Ayer moving on to Gotham City Sirens, Warner Bros. has been searching for a new director to take over the Suicide Squad sequel. Mel Gibson was at the top of the shortlist for a while, but as the script underwent another rewrite, he eventually moved on. The studio then zeroed in on Jaume Collet-Serra, who was reportedly the frontrunner. However, that’s not happening either. Spider-Man: Homecoming has been in theaters for close to a month now, and the Sony/Marvel tentpole has been one of the summer’s biggest films. In its fourth weekend of release, the reboot has passed another key benchmark. This weekend, Homecoming has grossed an estimated $13.5 million, placing it at #5 behind this week’s new releases (The Emoji Movie and Atomic Blonde) and last week’s releases (Dunkirk and Girl’s Trip). Warner Bros. Announces 2019 Release Date for WONDER WOMAN Sequel
After the huge success of DC Films’ Wonder Woman, a sequel was inevitable. Sure enough, Warner Bros. confirmed during its panel at San Diego Comic-Con this past weekend that Wonder Woman 2 is in development. Now, we have a release date. Warner Bros. has scheduled Wonder Woman 2 for release on December 13th, 2019, just in time for Christmas. Gal Gadot will reprise her role as the titular hero, while Patty Jenkins (who’s already writing a story treatment with Geoff Johns) is in talks to return as director.
