At a signing for the just released Batman: Earth One vol 2, DC Comics CCO and writer Geoff Johns had a chance to discuss the recent reaction to the teaser for Supergirl. Particularly those who unfairly compared the teaser to a spoof trailer for a fictional Black Widow solo film on SNL that popped up about the same time. Warner Bros. Bringing BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE, SUICIDE SQUAD and More to Licensing Expo 2015
Warner Bros. Consumer Products is heading to Licensing Expo 2015 next week, and it will showcase a lot of DC Entertainment goodies. The event will be showcasing merch from next year’s two DC movies, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad. The former is going all out in merch; everything from action figures and LEGO sets to costumes and apparel is being produced. As for Suicide Squad, there will mostly be merch for adult fans and collectors. Also being showcased at the Expo are the “DC Super Hero Girls” line, Batman Unlimited, video games LEGO Dimensions and Batman: Arkham Knight, current and future DC television shows, and more.…

Lexi Alexander Set to Direct Episode of ARROW Season Four
Lexi Alexander is no stranger to superheroes. The Green Street Hooligans writer and director is perhaps best known in comic circles for her film Punisher: War Zone. She has also spent much of 2015 being rumored to be attached to upcoming DC and Marvel movies, specifically Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel. She has also been seen on social media touting the need for female film directors this year. James Wan Confirmed to Direct AQUAMAN for Warner Bros.
It was reported a couple months ago that Furious 7 director James Wan was circling the job of helming 2018’s Aquaman for Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment. Well, the studio has now officially announced that Wan has closed his deal, and he will be bringing Aquaman and the rest of Atlantis to life on the big screen. Wan will oversee the script, which is written by Kurt Johnstad. The 300 scribe was writing one of the Aquaman drafts, alongside competing scripts by Will Beall and Jeff Nichols.
