Justice League: War is hitting stores on February 4th, but the superhero team will star in an animated movie even sooner. A Target-exclusive title, JLA Adventures: Trapped in Time, will be released on January 21st, next Tuesday. It will only be available on DVD, and unlike most of DC’s animated features, it is an all-ages movie. Arrow finally makes its mid-season premiere on The CW, airing S2E10 “Blast Radius”. In the meantime, we have the official plot description for the thirteenth episode of the season. Titled “Heir to the Demon”, this episode sees the debut of Katrina Law’s Nyssa al Ghul, the daughter of League of Assassins leader Ra’s al Ghul. It was confirmed earlier this week that Fox is moving forward with a Gotham television series. While it will feature young Bruce Wayne’s journey to becoming Batman and showcase villains such as Joker and Riddler, Detective James Gordon will be the star of the prequel show. Now, we may or may not have our first actor linked to the project. According to Latino Review, Sons of Anarchy and Vikings actor Donal Logue has been offered the lead role of Gordon. We’ve previously heard from Batman vs. Superman costume designer Michael Wilkinson on developing new costumes for the DC Trinity, and now, he’s spoken in a little more detail. In an interview with New York Times, Wilkinson says that his approach to the Man of Steel follow-up is the same as his approach to any project, and that it’s an honor to be redesigning such iconic characters. “I have been given the opportunity to tackle a wide range of genres with my work: big superheroes, gritty contemporary, epic period, science fiction. This week is already big in terms of DC Entertainment news. Yesterday, it was reported that both Batman vs. Superman and the long-awaited Justice League movie will be filmed back-to-back – or at least move right into the latter after BvS wraps up – in 2014. After today’s news concerning Fox’s Gotham television series, we now have an update on the planned Constantine show. According to Deadline, NBC has officially greenlit a pilot for a potential drama series starring John Constantine. It is being written/executive produced by Daniel Cerone and David S. Goyer. Among the most exciting aspects about next month’s animated feature The LEGO Movie is the inclusion of several DC superheroes. Batman (Will Arnett), Superman (Channing Tatum), Wonder Woman (Cobie Smulders), Green Lantern (Jonah Hill) and The Flash are all set to appear. Today, Warner Bros. released a new television spot for the movie, and it features the first bit of dialogue spoken by Superman. It also showcases new shots of the Man of Steel, Batman and Green Lantern, as well as more footage from the highly anticipated film.
