Despite the mixed reactions to Man of Steel this year, Warner Bros. is still including it among the films that it will promote for the Oscars 2014 season. Pre-Production On BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN Begins In Detroit; Largest Movie Shoot In Michigan’s History
The latest production update for Batman vs. Superman confirms that the upcoming sequel has begun pre-production in Detroit, Michigan. The city is said to be subbing for both Metropolis and Gotham. According to Detroit Free Press, the production will be the biggest movie shoot in the state’s history. Filming will take place at the Michigan Motion Pictures Studios, and will occupy the complex until production ends in August. Over a week ago, a report surfaced claiming that DC Entertainment’s big announcement for 2014 is a plan to release two low budget movie adaptations (likely within the $20-40M range) a year. PRISON BREAK’s Robert Knepper To Guest Star As ‘Clock King’ In ARROW Season 2
With Arrow going on hiatus after tonight’s mid-season finale, casting is moving forward for the rest of season two. According to TV Line, Prison Break and Heroes actor Robert Knepper has been cast as the villainous William Tockman, aka the Clock King. In this incarnation of the DC Comics foe, Tockman “earned his nickname being a brilliant criminal who plans his crimes with precision, down to the second.” The character will appear in episode 14, which also sees the return of Alex Kingston’s Dinah Lance. After this week’s highly anticipated episode, Arrow Season 2 returns January 15th on The CW.

BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN: Updates On Batmobile Construction And Filming Locations
We have a couple of reports concerning the Batman vs. Superman production. First off, Batman-On-Film has shared an update on the construction of the new Batmobile, which is rumored to be Cadillac-influenced. The site’s source says the following. “I was informed that the Batmobile is actually being designed and built in Warren, Michigan at GM’s famed ‘Studio X’ – the auto industry’s equivalent of Fort Knox. Or the first rule of FIGHT CLUB… The Batmobile will then be finished at the GM Advanced Design Studio in North Hollywood by February.
