The CW has begun casting for its Batwoman pilot, starring Ruby Rose as Gotham City’s new vigilante. This week, three actors have joined the cast of the potential series, and one of them is playing a key member of the Bat-Family. According to Deadline, these actors have joined Batwoman… Meagan Tandy will play Sophie Moore, a high-level private security agent who firmly supports Gotham. MORBIUS Movie Confirmed for Summer 2020 Release
After the huge success of Venom, Sony Pictures is wasting no time in expanding its new franchise. The studio previously set release dates for two untitled Marvel movies in 2020. Now, we know what the first one will be. Morbius, starring Jared Leto as the Living Vampire, will hit theaters on July 31st, 2020. The film was originally scheduled for July 10th, but was pushed back three weeks. As a result of the move, the film will take advantage of an uneventful August. AQUAMAN and DETECTIVE PIKACHU Sequels Are In Development
Warner Bros. is coming off of a successful 2018 that ended with one of the studio’s biggest hits yet, DC’s Aquaman. The studio is bound to have another eventful year in 2019. Among the films slated are Detective Pikachu, Legendary’s live action Pokemon movie that has generated much buzz. Now, it looks like sequels to both movies are in development. Matt Smith Joins the Spider-Man Spin-Off MORBIUS
Sony continues is push for more Spider-Man spin-off films. After the success of Venom, can you blame them? With the sequel to Venom, the next film in development with is Morbius starring Jared Leto (Suicide Squad). Now, the film has found its second lead. According to Variety, Matt Smith (The Crown) is set to co-star alongside Leto’s titular character. As of now we do not have any information on who Smith is playing. Patty Jenkins Teases Plans for Third WONDER WOMAN Movie
Director Patty Jenkins delivered Wonder Woman to massive success in 2017, and Warner Bros. quickly signed her on to take the helm of the sequel. Diana Prince’s story continues next year in Wonder Woman 1984, but after that? Turns out Jenkins already has some ideas.
