Elizabeth Tulloch Is Your Next Lois Lane. Get Hyped.
Lois Lane is heading to The Arrowverse!!! Today we have word from the Hollywood trades that actress Elizabeth Tulloch will be stepping into the reporter’s shoes for this fall’s Arrowverse crossover. The crossover is a huge three-night event, covering The Flash on Sunday, December 9th, Arrow on Monday, December 10th, and Supergirl on Tuesday, December 11th. The event is set feature the return of Tyler Hoechlin as Superman and introduce Ruby Rose as Batwoman. The 37 year old Tulloch most recently wrapped her run as the female lead on NBC’s Grimm, and also starred in the Oscar winning Best Picture, The Artist. BREAKING: Henry Cavill Appears to be Out as Superman
UPDATE 1: Warner Bros. issued a statement about Cavill, saying “While no decisions have been made regarding any upcoming Superman films, we’ve always had great respect for and a great relationship with Henry Cavill, and that remains unchanged” UPDATE 2: A follow-up report from TMZ claims the firestorm generated by this story is an “invented conflict,” and that “Cavill along with others would be in play” when Superman returns to the silver screen. It cannot be easy to be a Guardians of the Galaxy fan, considering the drama about James Gunn, but also the cast that is far from happy. However, there is one member of the crew that has been more opinionated to this firing than the rest, and that is Dave Bautista. RUMOR: Lady Gaga Courted for BIRDS OF PREY
Birds of Prey is one of the many DC Comics movies Warner Brothers currently has in production with Walter Hamada in the helm. According to DanielRPK from SuperBroMovies, Warner Brothers wants Lady Gaga to take a role in the movie. This was later backed up by Mario from Revenge of the Fans, where he talked about it in the latest podcast episode for The Fanboy Podcast. A lot of it has appeared to do with her performance in the upcoming A Star is Born, which Warner Brothers produced. Matt Smith Joins STAR WARS EPISODE IX in Key Role
Star Wars Episode IX is still filling out its cast, as production is underway in the UK. Its latest addition is someone with plenty of geek cred. Matt Smith, aka the Eleventh Doctor from Doctor Who, has joined the cast of Episode IX in what’s said to be a “key” role. And, unsurprisingly, that’s all we know about his character. It’s unclear if he will be a good guy or a villain. We’ll just have to wait and see. SUPERGIRL: Bruce Boxleitner replacing Brent Spiner
Due to a family emergency, Brent Spiner, who was originally cast as Vice President Baker for Supergirl, has had to pull out of the role. So a second sci-fi legend, Bruce Boxleitner, will take over the role for the show. Supergirl premieres Sunday, October 14th on The CW. Ron Cephas Jones joins the cast of VENOM
Venom has added yet another talented actor to an already star studded cast. According to THR, Ron Cephas Jones (This is Us, Luke Cage) will be joining Sony’s anti-hero flick. There’s no word on who Jones will be playing, but we can’t wait to see what he adds to the film. Jones will be joining Tom Hardy, Jenny Slate, Woody Harrelson, Riz Ahmad, and Michelle Williams. Venom be the first in a new line of comic book films from Sony Pictures, which they hope will kick off a Cinematic Universe, with films like Morbius, Kraven The Hunter, Silver Sable, Black Cat, and Silk already in early development.
