DC Entertainment has finally shared some details on its upcoming streaming service, DC Universe. And based on the announcement, it sounds like a must for any DC fan. DC Universe will be anchored by original shows, beginning with this year’s Titans. 2019 will see the arrivals of four more shows – Young Justice: Outsiders, Harley Quinn, Swamp Thing, and Doom Patrol. It was recently confirmed that DC is moving forward with a Birds of Prey movie, starring Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn and directed by Cathy Yan. The film, which is beginning production in January, will include an ensemble of female characters from the DC Universe. Batgirl is expected to be involved, but Catwoman will not be. Production Update for BIRDS OF PREY Movie
DC Films is finally moving forward with its next Harley Quinn-centric movie, which is based on the Birds of Prey comics. Last month, filmmaker Cathy Yan was hired to direct the film, produced by and starring Margot Robbie. Not much beyond that is known, though Robbie recently teased an R-rating for the project. Now, we know when production will begin. According to Heroic Hollywood, Birds of Prey is on track to begin production in January. Location details are currently unknown. DC Entertainment has announced some preliminary details on its streaming service, which will include a slew of exclusive original shows.
