FLASH SPOILER Review: Episode 7×08- “The People V Killer Frost”
The Flash (7×08)- “The People V Killer Frost” Written by: Jonathan Butler & Gabriel Garza Directed by: Sudz Sutherland Alright! Welcome back! So we have a quick cold open where Kramer meets with the clearly-not-quite-right ARGUS agent and they hint that whatever Kramer is doing is going to cause problems. They we’re over to STAR Labs where Frost is out awaiting sentencing and the gang is sounding a bit less like Barry is a charter member of the Justice League and more like they’d subscribe to this guy’s newsletter: Cause guys you’re definitely sounding like the “We know better than you petty humans” crowd and that’s not cool. But it’s…

MORTAL KOMBAT REVIEW: Rated M for Mediocre
It’s been 24 years since Mortal Kombat: Annihilation committed cinematic franchise Harakiri. In that span, there have been 11 entries in the video game series. I owned them all and the less said about a few of them, the better; but that’s not really the point of all this. We’re here to discuss Mortal Kombat. It’s finally back, and it’s actually brutal this time. That is one positive amongst a plethora of the not-so because the “M” in the title could just as easily have stood for muddled or messy or even mindless. Before we address those alliterative adjectives, let’s start at the beginning. Bi-Han/Sub-Zero (Joe Taslim) murders Hanzo Hasashi/Scorpion…

FLASH SPOILER Review: Episode 7×07- “Growing Pains”
The Flash (7×07)- “Growing Pains” Written by: Sam Chalsen & Jess Carson Directed by: Alexandra La Roche Growing Pains! I love this show! Anyway the episode opens with Barry returning home after dealing with a car fire and bringing home breakfast… Only to find Nora’s cooked breakfast, in fact she cooked a super breakfast complete with mimosas for day drinking. Which is a possible reason for Barry getting the shakes. Or maybe it’s that the physical embodiment of Barry’s powers looks like his mother and her cooking him breakfast is a whole new level of weird for Barry. They recap everything that’s been going on and Nora points out that…

FLASH SPOILER Review: Episode 7×05- “Fear Me”
The Flash (7×05)- “Fear Me” Written by: Lauren Barnett & Christina M Walker Directed by: David McWhirter We open on Barry watching last week’s episode to work out a tracking solution for the beast he fought when Iris arrives. She tries to convince Barry to take a break but Barry’s definitely entering into guilt-induced extra effort territory. As though that weren’t enough, Cisco enters revealing the whole Caitlin/Frost no longer time-sharing their body development which causes Barry to reveal his growing addiction to pain killers… Worked so well for Dr. House. After the title card, we visit Cecile at the West Home and it seems she’s got herself a case…

SPOILER REVIEW: Zack Snyder’s Justice League – A Genre Defining Masterpiece
Zack Snyder's Justice League is a monumental achievement in superhero-movie history. It's the Lord of The Rings of comicbook movies. Plain and simple, so grand in scale but yet very character driven.

FLASH SPOILER Review: Episode 7×04- “Central City Strong”
The Flash (7×04)- “Central City Strong” Written by: Joshua V Gilbert & Jeff Hersh Directed by: Jeff Byrd The episode opens with Iris coming home to a romantic candlelit dinner with Barry. Which is interrupted by a minor earthquake and (unbeknownst to our happy couple some more of the colored lightning) before our title sequence. The next day, the STAR Labs team is working on helping the city rebuild while The Flash is interviewed by the not-at-all-overly-dramatic TV host that interviewed Eva. It’s mostly just an excuse for some banter between the gang. Until Caitlin takes a couple of moments to look either ill or troubled. Potentially both. Allegra then…

FLASH SPOILER Review: Episode 7×03- “Mother”
The Flash (7×03)- “Mother” Written by: Eric Wallace & Kristen Kim Directed by: David McWhirter Picking up pretty much we left the team last week with Cisco, Allegra and Frost coming to. They find Barry kneeling over Iris and if you couldn’t tell by the end of the last episode his little experiment with emotional suppression is over cause he looks to be so far into The Manly Tears that he could break out into Ugly Crying at any second. So, the gang has got some serious problems… Barry has no powers, Singh and Kamilla are trapped in the mirror dimension, dying, Iris is just as fried and did I…

REVIEW: Persona 5 Strikers (Switch)
As summer break arrives, Joker returns to Tokyo and reunites with friends from his Phantom Thieves days. But when a new threat emerges and puts their vacation plans on hold, The Phantom Thieves of Heart re-enter the stage to save the day and clear their name in the process. When Persona 5 was released, it became a massive success within the RPG genre. And it became even bigger once its main protagonist Joker got announced for Super Smash Brothers Ultimate as the first official DLC character (not counting the Piranha Plant pre-order bonus). Now, two years later, the western market is getting its hold of what is officially a sequel…

FLASH SPOILER Review: Episode 7×02- “The Speed of Thought”
The Flash (7×02)- “The Speed of Thought” Written by: Jonathan Butler & Gabriel Garza Directed by: Alexandra La Roche This week opens with a memorial for all the Wells, they even went to the trouble of Time proofing the memorial because… Well, Barry’s go-to move is changing the timeline so I’m betting Cisco’s time-proofed most of his stuff at this point. Speaking of Barry, he’s starting to realize that wearing your heart on your sleeve is not the best course of action for a superhero. Over at the Newspaper, Allegra is mourning Nash when she gets a notification on her computer. Probably Discord because that program is relentless. You can…
