Jenny Slate in Talks to Join VENOM
The cast of Sony’s Venom project is quietly becoming one of the best in all of Hollywood. The film continues to add talent, and their latest acquisition is no exception. According to Variety, actress Jenny Slate will join Tom Hardy in the Sony superhero flick. We still don’t know much about Venom, but we do know that Slate will play a scientist in the film. TITANS Cast Lindsey Gort as Amy Rohrbach
It looks like Dick Grayson has found his partner in crime. According to TVLine, Lindsey Gort has been cast as Police Detective Amy Rohrbach. She will be a recurring character and will be Grayson’s partner when he’s not with his fellow Titans. Titans is based on DC Teen Titans and will be available exclusively on DC’s streaming service next. Titans along with Young Justice Outsiders will launch the DC service and will be the first live-action version of the legendary superhero team. Sony Pictures is finally moving ahead with its Venom movie, a new take on the iconic Spider-Man villain. THOR: RAGNAROK Looks to Have a Thunderous Opening Weekend
Thor: Ragnarok opens in just over a month from now; and now we have an idea how big a hit it’ll actually be. According to BoxOffice Pro, Thor: Ragnarok is tracking to have a $100MM opening weekend domestically. In comparison, the first Thor film only made $65MM its first weekend, going on to collect $181MM in its full domestic run. It’s sequel, Thor: The Dark World, made $85MM in its first weekend, and hauled in a solid $206 million in its entire run domestically. It’s Official, Patty Jenkins Will Direct WONDER WOMAN 2
Wonder Woman was the biggest film of the summer. It was a hit both critically and financially. With a sequel already in the works, and a release date already in place, WB needed to find a director.
