The CW is holding its panel at TCA today, and as expected, we have minor updates on a couple of its DC television shows. Network president Mark Pedowitz said he was confident that the planned Flash pilot – which spins off from Arrow – will be ordered for a full series. Fans of the classic Batman television series which aired from 1966 to 1968 will be very pleased with this news. Following a tweet from talk show host Conan O’Brien revealing the news, USA Today has confirmed that Warner Bros. Entertainment will be releasing a complete series box set on home video this year. Due to legal disagreements between WB/DC and 20th Century Fox, such a release for the Adam West-starrer couldn’t be put together. With Arrow making its mid-season premiere tonight, interviews with members of its creative team have been going online this week. In TV Guide‘s chat with Marc Guggenheim, the executive producer teases what is coming up this season. Justice League: War is hitting stores on February 4th, but the superhero team will star in an animated movie even sooner. A Target-exclusive title, JLA Adventures: Trapped in Time, will be released on January 21st, next Tuesday. It will only be available on DVD, and unlike most of DC’s animated features, it is an all-ages movie. Producer Giancarlo Volpe confirmed on Twitter that the feature, which runs for 52 minutes, will see the Justice League battle the Legion of Doom. DC Nation’s Lynell Forestall designed the characters. Arrow finally makes its mid-season premiere on The CW, airing S2E10 “Blast Radius”. In the meantime, we have the official plot description for the thirteenth episode of the season. Titled “Heir to the Demon”, this episode sees the debut of Katrina Law’s Nyssa al Ghul, the daughter of League of Assassins leader Ra’s al Ghul. It was confirmed earlier this week that Fox is moving forward with a Gotham television series. While it will feature young Bruce Wayne’s journey to becoming Batman and showcase villains such as Joker and Riddler, Detective James Gordon will be the star of the prequel show. Now, we may or may not have our first actor linked to the project. According to Latino Review, Sons of Anarchy and Vikings actor Donal Logue has been offered the lead role of Gordon. We’ve previously heard from Batman vs. Superman costume designer Michael Wilkinson on developing new costumes for the DC Trinity, and now, he’s spoken in a little more detail. In an interview with New York Times, Wilkinson says that his approach to the Man of Steel follow-up is the same as his approach to any project, and that it’s an honor to be redesigning such iconic characters. “I have been given the opportunity to tackle a wide range of genres with my work: big superheroes, gritty contemporary, epic period, science fiction.
