Most recently, it was announced that Matt Reeves’ The Batman is getting a spinoff series, focusing on the film’s Gotham City Police Department. How HAMILTON’S Lost Song Changed Everything
If you listened to the cast album of Hamilton, you pretty much had the entire play pumped into your ears long before the musical landed on Disney+. There are minor differences you’ll notice when watching it up close for the first time, like King George’s damp performance in You’ll Be Back or how My Shot is referenced (visually) in The World Was Wide Enough. The album is fantastic and alone is one of the greatest works in Broadway’s history. However, it missed one song and that one song recontextualizes everything. Miranda intentionally cut Lauren’s Interlude (Tomorrow There’ll Be More of Us) from the album. Saying he wanted: “at least one…

Review: A WHISKER AWAY (2020)
When Miyo Sasaki gets the chance to transform into a cat, she uses it with the hope of knowing more about the boy she has a crush on. Problems arrive, however, when the line between being human and cat becomes shorter. There are times where you find something at random. Be it the library or a garage sale. When it comes to A Whisker Away, it was a random scroll when I search on Netflix. I read the premise, saw the trailer, and thought it could be a cute animated movie. Luckily for me, it ended up being just that. At first, I was unsure of what to think about…

Review – Hamilton: An American Musical
Hamilton is a hip-hop musical based on the life of the United State’s first Treasury Alexander Hamilton (Lin-Manuel Miranda). The film shows us the life of Alexander. A young, scrappy, and hungry teenager is willing to give his life for his country’s freedom. We see his early years to his death. Without going into spoilers [can you spoil history?], Hamilton is a film about legacies, ambition, sacrifice, and loss. The rivalry between Alexander and Aaron Burr (Leslie Odom Jr.) is the plot’s driving force. Two different world views from very flawed individuals. The entire cast is phenomenal. Leslie Odom shines as Burr and delivers the film’s best performance. Then we…

EUROVISION SONG CONTEST: THE STORY OF FIRE SAGA Review
In this Netflix movie, two aspiring musicians get the chance to prove their worth through the Eurovision Song Contest. Watching a Will Ferrell movie is the textbook definition of not knowing what you are in for. He is very much hit or miss. When it comes to his latest movie, Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga… we have another miss on our hand. This movie could have been a cute and harmless movie about two artists fighting for their dreams. But it is all brushed aside due to D jokes and have Will play what he has played the most (a middle-aged manchild). Exception for the singing, it…

5 More Superhero Actors Who Should Return to Their Roles
In the world of comic book movies, many actors have taken on the roles of superheroes. Some have had recurring roles that lasted years, some have had shorter runs, and some have only played their character once. But few can match the excitement of actors who return to their roles many years after their last portrayal. Crisis on Infinite Earths brought back both Brandon Routh (Superman Returns) and Tom Welling (Smallville), while John Wesley Shipp reprised his role as the original TV Flash after two decades. Most recently, it was reported that Michael Keaton is eyeing a return as Batman in The Flash movie. The list goes on, but clearly,…

5 DC Movie/TV Characters We Want to See in THE FLASH Movie
This week, news broke that DC‘s The Flash/Flashpoint movie will feature a Batman – but not the one anyone expected. Michael Keaton, the star of Batman (1989) and Batman Returns, is in talks to return to his iconic role, in what is said to be the first of several appearances throughout the DC Extended Universe. This opens all kinds of doors for the film. Once thought to be just a loose adaptation of the Flashpoint comic, The Flash will now give moviegoers a glimpse of the DC Multiverse. This can allow for other characters from DC’s film and television history to appear. We saw this in The CW’s Crisis on…

5 Movie Crossovers That Would Be Cool, But Will Never Happen
Crossovers are a novelty that have found much success, especially in movies. Whether it’s Alien vs. Predator, Freddy vs. Jason, or entire cinematic universes based on Marvel and DC superheroes, it’s a trend that excites fans and usually brings in the dough. That trend will continue with the likes of Godzilla vs. Kong and Space Jam: A New Legacy on the way. Fans will undoubtedly continue to run wild with ideas for more crossovers between their favorite franchises. While there are some that could feasibly happen, there are others that are, for lack of a better term, unrealistic. For one reason or another, there are some crossovers that just can’t…

So far, the films have done a solid job exploring that. With Reeves looking to further explore Batmnan’s lore, there are a lot of options for new villains.
