Damon Lindelof’s WATCHMEN is Getting a Pilot Order
Alan Moore’s Watchmen is once again looking to be adapted, this time by Damon Lindelof. The Hollywood Reporter reports that HBO has ordered a pilot for the Lindelof project. The deal with HBO will also commission additional scripts for a potential series order. If the Lindelof project makes it before cameras, it will be the second adaptation of the beloved graphic novel after Zack Snyder’s 2009 film. Reviews were generally mixed for that film, with some reviewers considering the narrative to be too dense for a feature film. Hopefully Lindelof & co. will have success translating Rorschach and the gang to the small screen. Watchmen is currently in development. Stay tuned to…

Director Matthew Vaughn has a long history with comic book movies. The filmmaker has made 2010’s Kick-Ass, 2011’s X-Men: First Class, and the two Kingsman movies. Additionally, he has been considering the idea of tackling Warner Bros.’ Man of Steel sequel, while he opted out of directing two previous X-Men sequels. But another comic book movie in Vaughn’s filmography is 2015’s Fantastic Four, on which he was just a producer. That film was an absolute flop commercially and critically, ending plans for a sequel. However, Vaughn now wants to give this property another chance. In an interview with CinemaBlend, Vaughn says that he would like to make his own Fantastic…

Review: KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE
Kingsman: The Golden Circle is the sequel to 2014’s surprise hit, Kingsman: The Secret Service. A film about espionage, suits, and action. The Golden Circle is much more of the same, but it has a few twists and turns along the way. Does the film live up to its predecessor or is it like many of the bad sequels we’ve seen in the past? Well, let’s find out. The story is relatively straightforward, The Kingsman need to take down the worlds biggest drug cartel (The Golden Circle), lead by Poppy (Julianne Moore). Eggsy (Taron Egerton) and Merlin (Mark Strong) need to get help from the Statesman, Kingsman’s American counterpart. That’s…

Patty Jenkins Explains Why WONDER WOMAN Doesn’t Have a Post-Credits Scene
DC Films’ Wonder Woman was the breakout hit of the summer, becoming one of the most beloved superhero movies in recent memory. Following this success, Patty Jenkins signed on to direct and co-write a sequel, which was announced for a December 2019 release. (With Star Wars Episode IX now scheduled for that date, expect Wonder Woman 2 to move.) One thing that set Wonder Woman apart from its recent counterparts was the lack of a post-credits scene. The majority of modern superhero films include an extra scene in the middle or after the credits, usually to tease the next movie in the franchise. However, with the exceptions of Suicide Squad and…

According to That Hashtag Show, Marvel Studios has “revisited” the idea of making a Power Pack movie. Jonathan Schwartz, who has been involved with Marvel Studios since 2009, has been given creative oversight…

Matthew Vaughn Describes His “Feel-Good, Heroic” Vision for a SUPERMAN Film
Earlier this year, it was reported that filmmaker Matthew Vaughn was the top choice to direct Warner Bros.’ Man of Steel sequel, aka Superman’s next solo film. Vaughn recently confirmed talks about tackling the character, and now, he breaks down exactly what his vision for a Superman movie would be. Speaking with Collider, Vaughn explains what he would do with Superman if he was ever the opportunity, saying that he would return to the style of the original Richard Donner films. “I think my main take would be, it’s really boring but make a Superman film. I just don’t feel a proper Superman – I think Donner did it to…

Few could have predicted just how long the X-Men franchise would last. 17 years later, and the series has put out ten movies to date. Turk debuted on Daredevil, before moving to Harlem in Luke Cage. He also appeared in an episode of The Defenders. Turk made it out OK from Daredevil and Cage, as they aren’t…
