The marketing campaign for Marvel’s Black Panther has begun. Following the release of the teaser poster, the studio just debuted a teaser trailer during Game 4 of the NBA Finals. The trailer offers a first look at footage from the highly anticipated superhero film, which takes place shortly after the events of Captain America: Civil War. Mattel is creating action figures based on DC Films’ Justice League, as part of its DC Multiverse line. Courtesy of the “Join the League” website, we now have a first look at these figures. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 came out this summer, and it has been yet another winner for the studio. Marvel Studios will begin production on its latest sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp, later this summer. Director Peyton Reed returns for the follow-up, along with stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, and Michael Peña. Rudd co-wrote the script with Gabriel Ferrari. Now, casting has begun on the sequel’s new characters. According to Variety, Black Mirror actress Hannah John-Kamen has joined the cast of Ant-Man and the Wasp. All four of The CW’s current DC shows – Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow – have been renewed for new seasons next fall. Anticipation is high for the next wave of DC TV, especially since all four seasons ended on exciting cliffhangers. Now, the network has announced the premiere dates of its fall slate, including its superhero shows. Wonder Woman opened this past weekend with a big $103.3 million gross, and the film has been earning rave reviews from both critics and audiences. So, you would expect Warner Bros. to get a sequel on the fast track ASAP. Star Gal Gadot has a sequel in her contract, but as of this writing, director Patty Jenkins has yet to sign on. The Flash and Arrow recently concluded their third and fifth seasons, respectively, on The CW. As expected, Legends of Tomorrow will add new DC heroes to the Waverider Crew for its third season.
