ARROW Upgrades Curtis Holt to Series Regular for Season 5
Arrow was recently renewed by The CW for a fifth season, which will premiere in the fall. We don’t know much about that season in terms of plot, but we’ll definitely be seeing more of one character: Curtis Holt, aka the future Mister Terrific. According to TV Line, Holt (played by Echo Kellum) has been upgraded to a series regular role for Arrow season five. Holt is a Palmer Tech employee who frequently works with Felicity Smoak, and in last week’s episode, he discovered Team Arrow’s lair and assisted them on a mission. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is now in its second weekend of release, and its estimated gross is in, via The Hollywood Reporter. Is the film continuing its successful streak at the box office, or are those negative reviews finally impacting it financially? The DC superhero ensemble earned $52.4 million this weekend, a 68% drop from its $166 million opening weekend. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is now in theaters, and the film successfully paved the way for the long-awaited Justice League movie, as well as the greater DC Extended Universe. However, Batman v Superman isn’t perfect. While I enjoyed the movie and believe that the critics have been far too harsh, I can’t deny that it has some serious issues as a film. New SUICIDE SQUAD Clip to Premiere at MTV Movie Awards 2016
Earlier this year, we got the excellent second trailer for Warner Bros.’ Suicide Squad, teasing an outrageously exciting take on the DC Universe. Now, it has been confirmed that we’ll be getting more footage very soon. MTV has announced that an “exclusive, never-before-seen” clip from Suicide Squad will premiere at this year’s MTV Movie Awards. The ceremony will take place on Sunday, April 10th. Stars Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie and Cara Delevingne will present the clip. No word yet on what exactly will be featured in the clip. But at the link above, MTV lists a few possible ideas. After opening in a few international markets on Wednesday, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opened worldwide on Friday. The film grossed $422.5 million globally in its opening weekend, the fourth biggest worldwide opening in movie history and the biggest global superhero debut ever. Ever since Ben Affleck was cast as Batman in 2013, fans have expected him to star in and possibly even direct his own solo film.
