FEATURE: Five Marvel Cosmic Movies We Want to See
After Avengers 4, fans should expect to see a very different Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not much is known about the next 20 films Marvel Studios has planned, but one thing we know is that there’ll be a big focus on the cosmic side of the universe. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will set up at least some of these stories, which may include a Power Pack movie. What next? The cosmic side of the Marvel Universe is vast and full of dozens of characters ripe for franchise potential. We figured we’d list the five movies that we most want to see from this corner of the MCU… Nova The intergalactic…

Despite being the most poorly received Marvel Netflix series to date, Iron Fist is returning for a second season. The series has a new showrunner this time around, with production expected to begin soon. Now, we have the first casting news from this season. Marvel has announced that actress Alice Eve (Star Trek Into Darkness) has joined the cast of Iron Fist for season two. Her character is currently unknown. FLASH SPOILER Review: Episode 4×08 “Crisis on Earth X”
The Flash (4×08) – “Crisis on Earth X” Written by: Todd Helbing Story by: Andrew Kreisberg & Marc Guggenheim Directed by: Dermott Downs Please note: I am not review the crossover as whole, this is a review of the Flash episode. As usual when the crossover comes around I find myself in an intellectual quandary and as a result I’ve put off this week’s review until now but it’s time to just rip off the band-aid. I am going to keep this short this week. I think we’ve had this discussion every season since Flash vs Arrow. I am not a big fan of the crossovers and as…

Manu Bennett Talks Support for Joe Manganiello’s Deathstroke and Possible TITANS Appearance
Manu Bennett’s Slade Wilson/Deathstroke has consistently been one of the highlights of Arrow. The character recently returned to the show for a two-episode arc, which brought Slade closer to his comic book roots. It’s unclear if Slade will return again in the future, but in the meantime, we have another live action Deathstroke out there. Joe Manganiello was cast as the character last year, and he made his first appearance in the Justice League post-credits scene. Manganiello is attached to reprise his role in a Deathstroke movie, while he was originally announced as the villain of The Batman, which may or may not still be happening. Regardless, Bennett is very…

Box Office: JUSTICE LEAGUE Slowing Down in Third Weekend
Justice League has been in theaters for three weeks now, and to say that the film’s box office is disappointing is an understatement. The DC movie only grossed about $94 million in its opening weekend, which is embarrassing for a movie with a $300 million production budget. This week, the film is slowing down…at least domestically. Per Box Office Mojo, Justice League grossed an estimated $16.5 million this weekend, a whopping 60% drop from last week. It is still in second place behind Pixar’s Coco ($26.1 million). This brings its domestic total to $197.3 million. Things are faring a little better overseas, however. Justice League made it to $370.1 million internationally…

CRISIS ON EARTH-X Featurette Bids Farewell to a Fallen Legend
[Warning: The Following Contains SPOILERS From the “Crisis on Earth-X” Crossover.] This week saw The CW’s fourth annual Arrowverse crossover, “Crisis on Earth-X.” In this story, our heroes come together and face an army of Nazis from Earth-X, as well as old foes and evil doppelgangers. The crossover not only delivered in spectacle, but also excelled in heartfelt, character-driven arcs. One of those stemmed from the death of one of the shows’ most prominent heroes. In the second half of the crossover, Martin Stein, aka one-half of Firestorm, was killed off. He opened the breach from Earth-X back to Earth-1, but was critically wounded in the process. He later severs…

OPINION: Why Ben Affleck Should Stop Playing Batman Now
Way back in 2013, Ben Affleck was cast as the Dark Knight for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The casting back was really controversial; it spawned fan petitions, ridicule, and the rest of the usual for these things. Ultimately, however, Affleck won over most of the doubters with his actual performance, and he reprised the role in Suicide Squad and Justice League. He’s also been attached to star in Matt Reeves’ The Batman. Before Justice League came out, rumors began that Affleck would drop out of the Batman role very soon, and/or The Batman would feature a new actor under the cowl. Affleck initially responded by saying that he…
