X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE Review
I didn’t want to watch this. But what can you do when you have someone pointing two katanas at you while strapping you down with the help of ducktape. X-Men Origins: Wolverine is a failed attempt of this katana-wielding supposed best friend. While I can’t see how this individual has a best friend (I’m kidding I’m kidding Mr. Pool), I have to admit that this truly is a failure of a movie. The movie starts off strong with the backstory of Wolverine (played by the everyone’s favorite Austrailian actor Hugh Jackman) and Sabertooth (played by Live Schreiber), two mutant brothers born in the 1800s (not the best time for mutants,…

Review: DEADPOOL
Grab some Chimichangas, because it’s time to review Deadpool. Also known as the funniest superhero movie ever made. By a landslide. Oh, I wasn’t supposed to show my cards so early into this review? Oops. Well, onto the lovefest… Deadpool is the first ever solo movie for the “Merc with a Mouth”, a wise-cracking, fast-talking antihero from the X-Men Comics. He was created by Fabian Nicieza and Rob Liefeld, and made his first appearance in issue #98 of The New Mutants back in February of 1991. It isn’t technically his first appearance on the big screen, nor is it Ryan Reynolds’ first time playing this character, but let’s not go further there. The story…

ABC Finally Cancels INHUMANS After One Season
Back in September, ABC premiered its latest Marvel show, Inhumans, which was made in collaboration with IMAX. The eight-episode series was trashed by fans and critics, while ratings were mediocre. So, this news shouldn’t be surprising….except for how long it took to announce it. ABC has confirmed (via TV Line) that Inhumans has been cancelled after just one season. Based on the show’s reception, literally everyone saw this coming. But it’s surprising to see ABC wait until the last minute to confirm it. The series’ last episode aired in November. With Inhumans out of the way, attention is now turned to ABC’s other Marvel show, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Despite low ratings, the…

The midseason show, based on the Vertigo comic book, didn’t return until late February this year, and fans have speculated if it was going to get renewed again. The season four finale will air on Monday, May 28th. No word yet on a premiere date…
