AVENGERS: ENDGAME Headlines Fandango’s Most Anticipated Movies of 2019
Fandango has released its annual survey, where moviegoers are surveyed on their most anticipated movies of 2019. And unsurprisingly, Marvel Studios is headlining it with its most anticipated blockbuster yet. Avengers: Endgame tops the Most Anticipated Movie category, followed by Marvel’s Captain Marvel in second place. Other names included are M. Night Shyamalan’s Glass, DC’s Joker, and Star Wars: Episode IX. Comic book movies have also dominated Fandango’s other categories. Captain Marvel star Brie Larson is the Most Anticipated Actress of 2019, while Endgame’s Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans are among the Most Anticipated Actors. Why Mera was Needed in the DC Universe
There are plenty of female heroes in the world of DC, such as Hawkgirl, Black Canary, Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Zatanna, and the Batwomen. And all of those heroes are phenomenal in their right. I love DC with all my heart and soul, flaws and all. To tell a story properly, a film must fill out the character with a backstory. Otherwise, they remain hollow, empty and unendearing. That was an extreme problem with Justice League. The film didn’t have time to flesh out all of its wonderful characters. MEN IN BLACK INTERNATIONAL Trailer Released
Sony has released the first trailer for Men in Black International, a spinoff from the original trilogy. In this movie, Agent M (Tessa Thompson) joins the MIB organization, being paired with Agent H (Chris Hemsworth). The two are caught up in a mystery that takes them across the globe, and they must deal with a mole in their organization. Check out the trailer below, and stay tuned for more as we have it. Review: AQUAMAN TV Pilot
A Little Background This TV pilot was developed off of the hype surrounding Smallville‘s episode “Aqua”. In that episode, Alan Ritchson played Arthur Curry who was trying to prevent the development of a Luthor Corp weapon. The character was enormously popular with the creators of Smallville seeing the feedback and the potential. They decided to develop a new series for the man from Atlantis, but not a spin-off of Smallville. Hence the reasoning behind having a different actor (Justin Hartley) than Alan Ritchson. Following this year’s Elseworlds, The CW is prepping for its biggest Arrowverse crossover yet in 2019’s Crisis on Infinite Earths. Lionsgate has finally released the first trailer for Hellboy, the comic book character’s long-awaited return to the big screen. However, this movie will be a reboot that is separate from Guillermo del Toro’s films. The R-rated story sees Hellboy working to stop the Blood Queen from destroying mankind.
