The CW President Talks More RIVERDALE Spinoffs and Whether the Arrowverse Will End Anytime Soon

The Arrowverse consists of four live action shows – Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow – with a fifth show, Batwoman, expected to premiere next year. Meanwhile, DC’s Black Lightning has been a big hit, while Riverdale offers a new take on Archie Comics lore. Now, The CW has teased future plans for both franchises. At the Television Critics Association tour this week, The CW president Mark Pedowitz talks about the shows’ futures. He teases that at least one other Riverdale spinoff could be in the works, but he’s waiting on showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa’s pitch. “In terms…

In today’s TV news bits, we’re talking about three shows on The CW! First up: Black Lightning! Black Lightning showrunners and producers Salim and Mara Brock Akil confirmed at San Diego Comic Con that they are trying to build a “Lightningverse” as like the “Arrowverse”. It has been confirmed before that Black Lightning is not a part of the Arrowverse, but with the number of Earths in the Arrowverse, it can be brought in should producers choose to do so. LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Won’t Be Part of the Next Arrowverse Crossover
Fans were excited to hear that this year’s annual Arrowverse crossover event will center around Batwoman and Gotham City. In fact, Batwoman is going to be the star of her own series soon. However, it looks like one show won’t be part of the event. According to Entertainment Weekly, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is sitting out this year’s crossover. The event will consist of Supergirl, Arrow, and The Flash. No reason why Legends will be absent. It’s also unclear if this rules out any Legends characters in the event or just its episode that week. In 2016 and 2017, The CW crossed over all four shows for epic crossover events.…

ARROW SEASON 6 Review
In the second half of Arrow season 6 (check out our mid-season review here), Team Arrow has an all-out Civil War. Cayden James is not the main villain as we previously thought. In a surprise twist, Ricardo Diaz rises to the forefront. Oliver loses his team’s trust (again), all while dealing with his impending impeachment. Arrow season 6 was a rollercoaster ride, but was it enjoyable? With Diaz taking over as head of the league of villains, we once again have an enemy that can go toe-to-toe with the Green Arrow. Oliver has decided to do this job solo after a huge (and a little contrived) falling-out with the team, including…
