Review: YOUNG JUSTICE Season One
Young Justice season one is full of action, humor, and lovable characters. It’s serialized unlike the more episodic shows like Batman: The Animated Series or Justice League. This allows time to develop the relationships between the teenage super team. Under the care of Batman: Robin, Kid Flash, Aqualad, Superboy, Miss Martian, Artemis, and Zatanna act as a black ops team for the Justice League. The show starts out with sidekicks: Robin, Speedy, Kid Flash [who is not the one named Speedy for some reason], and Aqualad visiting the Hall of Justice for the very first time. The kids think they are becoming members of the League, but it turns out…

Review: JUSTICE LEAGUE VS. THE FATAL FIVE – Nostalgia Overload
Justice League vs The Fatal Five is our latest DC venture; and after the Batman: The Killing Joke and Batman and Harley Quinn; it feels like WB Animation wants to win back its fan base. Now, they’re returning to the well that put them the map – the original DC Animated Universe. Yes, this film takes place in the world of Batman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Static Shock, and Justice League Unlimited. Does it reach the golden standard of the classic DCAU era?Or does it continue the line of bad DC direct to video movies? Well… The film only clocks in at 1hr and 17min so it’s not that long.…

Review: MARVEL RISING: SECRET WARRIORS – A Lazy and Uninspired Mess
The idea of an animated Secret Warriors film was promising. Young heroes like Ms. Marvel, Patriot, Squirrel Girl and Quake taking on an Inhuman war sounds excellent! The execution left a lot to be desired. Here’s our review of Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors. The story is pretty bland. Ms. Marvel (Kathreen Khavari) aspires to be like Captain Marvel (Kim Raver). Her and Squirrel Girl (Milana Vayntrub) are up and coming superheroes. They meet two inhumans who are fighting each other. Dante (Tyler Posey), a young man who just got his powers, and Exile (Booboo Stewart), a Kree warrior who wants to “deliver” inhumans. Our to heroines get involved, as well…

Today, we’re going to be taking a look back at their long and unorthodox history. The Comics The TMNT made their comic debut in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 in May of 1984. Created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, the Ninja Turtles served as a parody of the comics that came before. You can see the influence the New Mutants and Daredevil had on the TMNT.
