KRYPTON Showrunner Breaks Down That Character Reveal

ARROW Gets a New Showrunner for Season 7
The CW recently renewed Arrow for a seventh season, and there are big changes on the way. Roy Harper will return as a series regular, while the season six finale is sad to be a real gamechanger. Now, there’s a shakeup behind-the-scenes. It has been announced (via Entertainment Weekly) that Arrow has upgraded Beth Schwartz, a longtime member of the writing room, to the role of showrunner for season seven. Wendy Mericle will exit the series after this season, while Marc Guggenheim will be an executive consultant. Netflix Renews JESSICA JONES for Season 3
Marvel premiered the second season of its acclaimed series Jessica Jones last month on Netflix. The show is arguably the most acclaimed Marvel/Netflix series yet. So, it shouldn’t be surprising to hear that season three is a go. Netflix has announced (via THR) that Jessica Jones has been renewed for a third season. No word yet on a release date or when the season will begin production. Currently, Marvel has yet to confirm its Netflix slate for 2019 (which is expected to include new seasons of Iron Fist and The Punisher), so that’s a possibility. Colton Haynes Returns to ARROW as Series Regular for Season 7
Arrow was recently picked up by The CW for a seventh season. While plot details are currently under wraps, the season will bring back a fan-favorite character to the spotlight. YOUNG JUSTICE: OUTSIDERS Finishes Voice Recording
Our favorite teenage heroes are close to return. We haven’t heard much about Young Justice: Outsiders recently, but Khary Payton, voice of Aqualad, confirmed at C2E2 (via Heroic Hollywood) that voice recording of 26 episodes was complete, and that the animation process was in the works. The Boys, Riverdale, Smallville Today in our TV news roundup we have word that Karl Urban will star in Amazon’s The Boys. The news is coming from THR, and the show has already been greenlit for a series. For those of you who don’t know, The Boys is set in a darker superhero world than we are familiar with. The story focuses on a group of vigilantes known as The Boys, heroes that takedown corrupt heroes. A premiere date has not been announced yet, but we should hear more in the coming months. The CW Renews All Five DC Shows and RIVERDALE for Next Season
The CW has officially announced that ten of its shows have been picked up for new seasons. These include six comic book adaptations. Arrow, the show that launched the network’s Arrowverse has been renewed for a seventh season. Midseason hit Black Lightning, based on the DC comic, will be back for a second season. Fellow DC adaptations Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow will return for fourth seasons. It was previously announced that Matt Ryan’s John Constantine will be a series regular on the latter show next season. The Flash has been renewed for a fifth season.
