Patty Jenkins Talks Telling WONDER WOMAN’s Origin, Tone and More
Recently, a group of journalists and bloggers visited Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins in the film’s editing bay. Collider was among the sites present for the interview. During the discussion, Jenkins goes into detail about her experience with making the movie, telling Diana Prince’s origin story, flashbacks to World War I vs. the present day, and whether there was any mandate regarding the film’s tone. Wonder Woman tells Diana’s origin story to the general public for the first time. Those who do know may consider it more “complicated” than the origins for other heroes. However, Jenkins doesn’t think so, and that any confusion should be cleared up when the movie…

FLASH SPOILER Review: Episode 3×14 – “Attack on Central City”
The Flash (3×14) – “Attack on Central City” Written by: Benjamin Raab & Deric A Hughes Story by: Todd Helbing Directed by: Dermott Downs Part Two! Let’s go! I’ve got to make lunch! We finished last week with Gypsy (who is still totally genderbent Cisco from Earth-19!) about to bring the Gorilla Army to Earth One. So what better time than now for a cute shippy, Barry/Iris breakfast scene? With that out of the way and we’re over to STAR Labs where it seems HR blew up a Hallmark Bomb in the Speed Lab and I find myself wondering if they’d planned for this episode to air three…

Highlights From WONDER WOMAN Set Visits Reveal New Story Details and More
Last year, a group of movie websites visited the set of DC Films’ Wonder Woman. Today, they get to publish what they saw and learned about the highly anticipated movie. Collider posted a lengthy list of highlights from the set visit, and we’ll share some of them here. These include new details on the film’s plot, confirmation of many characters, and more. As previously stated, Wonder Woman will have bookend scenes set in the present day (aka after the events of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice). But otherwise, the film takes place in World War I for Diana’s origin story. As a child, Diana learns about the creation of…

DC TV News Bits: GOTHAM Adds Ra’s al Ghul, BLACK LIGHTNING’s Daughters Cast, FLASH/SUPERGIRL Musical Plot Details
Gotham has become known for incorporating as many pre-Batman versions of iconic Batman villains as possible. Over the course of three years, the Fox series has included countless characters who will one day take on the Dark Knight. So, it was only a matter of time before the Demon’s Head himself showed up. It has been announced that Game of Thrones alum Alexander Siddig has been cast as Ra’s al Ghul on Gotham. This is a recurring role, and the character will first appear later this season. This version of Ra’s is connected to the Court of Owls, with Bruce Wayne discovering him as “…the enigmatic and powerful man pulling the…

ARROW Finally Reveals Prometheus’ Identity in Shocking Plot Twist
The biggest mystery on Arrow this season is the identity of the big bad, Prometheus. We’ve known that Prometheus is connected to someone killed by Oliver Queen when he was the Hood back in season one. The show later suggested that he is the son of Justin Claybourne, who was taken out by the Hood four years ago, while his mother refused to provide be of assistance. Fan theories have suggested Billy Malone (RIP), a resurrected Tommy Merlyn, and many other characters for the man behind the mask. But in this week’s episode, where a lot of things were already going down, Prometheus finally unmasked himself in a truly stunning plot…

SUICIDE SQUAD Wins Oscar for Best Makeup & Hairstyling
Suicide Squad became the first installment of the DC Extended Universe to be nominated for an Academy Award. The movie was nominated in the Best Makeup and Hairstyling category alongside Star Trek Beyond and A Man Called Ove. And, perhaps in one of the biggest surprise of the ceremony, Task Force X won. At the Oscars last night, Alessandro Bertolazzi, Giorgio Gregorini and Christopher Nelson took home the award for Best Makeup and Hairstyling for their work on Suicide Squad. It was the only comic book movie to win an Oscar this year. This also marks the first time that a DC Comics adaptation won an award since 2009, when The Dark…

BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE Wins Four Razzie Awards
While Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice made a lot of money at the box office last year, the majority of critics didn’t like it and the general audience was so-so. It’s arguably the most polarizing comic book movie to date. In fact, the “cool thing to do” has become talking trash about the film and greatly exaggerating its flaws. It’s gotten to the point where it picked up several nominations at this year’s Razzie Awards, and now, the results are in. Batman v Superman picked up a total of four Razzie awards, tying with Hillary’s America as the biggest “winner” of the event. BvS won in the “Worst Remake, Spin-Off…

Andrew Kreisberg Teases Plans for Proper Four-Way Arrowverse Crossover Next Year
Last fall, The CW aired the epic “Invasion!” crossover with Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. However, if one show got the short end of the stick in the event, it was definitely the former. The only crossover on Supergirl was a 30 second scene, which was included in the Flash episode anyways. Kara then appeared on the other shows, but no one from her supporting cast came in. At a recent press event (via Entertainment Weekly), executive producer Andrew Kreisberg addressed this, confirming that plans are underway for a “true” four-way crossover next fall. “Next year, we’re hoping to do a true four-way crossover. The great thing…
