ARROW’s Katie Cassidy Will Serve as a Series Regular on All of The CW’s DC Shows
Last season on Arrow, Laurel Lance/Black Canary was killed by Damien Darhk. The decision spawned much outrage on social media, with many criticizing the waste of a beloved character. (I personally was not fond of the idea.) However, despite her death, we’ll still be seeing plenty of Laurel in the Arrowverse. It was announced at San Diego Comic-Con (via TV Line) that actress Katie Cassidy has signed a new deal, allowing her to be a series regular across all of The CW’s DC shows. These include Arrow, The Flash and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Her deal is similar to ones signed by John Barrowman and Wentworth Miller; John Wesley Shipp…

ARROW and THE FLASH Reveal Big Bads for New Seasons
Arrow and The Flash held their San Diego Comic-Con panels last night, where both shows offered glimpses at the new season. During the panels, the big bads for both shows were confirmed. First up (via Comic Book Resources), Oliver Queen’s main villain this season is Prometheus. There is a DC Comics villain by that name, but according to executive producer Marc Guggenheim, Arrow‘s version won’t be that same character. “He’s a new character. He’s our big bad for the year. We call him Prometheus [but] it’s not the Grant Morrison/Howard Porter character. He’s pretty badass.” As previously reported, Prometheus was close to somebody who was killed by Oliver back in…

DC Announces its Animated Film Slate for 2017
Batman: The Killing Joke was present at Comic-Con, along with DC’s animation team. The panel featured producer Bruce Timm, Kevin Conroy (Batman), and Tara Strong (Batgirl). Warner Bros. has confirmed DC’s next three animated films: Justice League Dark, Teen Titans: The Judas Contract and Batman & Harley Quinn [a Bruce Timm original film].
