LUKE CAGE Faces a Formidable New Enemy in Season 2 Trailer
Netflix has released a new trailer for Luke Cage season two, which releases next month. The second installment of the Marvel series sees Luke becoming a celebrity in Harlem, due to his heroics. However, he will be challenged by a powerful new villain who can take Luke down without breaking a sweat. The trailer gives us a first look at this new villain, Misty Knight’s new arm, and much more. DEADPOOL 2 Soundtrack and Score Albums Announced
We’re less than two weeks away from the release of Deadpool 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2016 hit. Fox has confirmed plans for not only its original score album, but a separate soundtrack too. Per Billboard, Tyler Bates’ score is officially the first all-music album with a parental advisory label. And looking at the song titles, it’s not hard to see why. AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Wins a Mighty Second Weekend
As expected, Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War has had a big second weekend. In fact, it has the second-biggest sophomore weekend in history. Per THR, Infinity War is grossing an estimated $112.5 million this weekend. This marks a 56% drop from its opening weekend, which is on par with past Marvel movies. This narrowly beats Black Panther ($111.7 million) for second place, and it’s behind only Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($149.2 million). Overseas, Infinity War took in another $162.6 million, bringing its worldwide total to a mighty $1.16 billion. This already puts it in Marvel’s top five after just a few days in theaters. AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Hitting $1 Billion Worldwide in Record Time
Everyone knew that Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War would easily pass $1 billion at the worldwide box office. But what people (probably) didn’t expect was just how fast it’d achieve that benchmark. Per Deadline, Infinity War hit $974.5 million worldwide on Friday, and it will pass the billion mark sometime today.
