After three seasons, Vertigo adaptation Lucifer was cancelled by Fox. This led to much outcry from fans, who immediately started campaigning for another network to pick it up. AQUAMAN Trailer Will Debut at San Diego Comic-Con Next Month
Fans have been wondering for a while when we’d get a first trailer for DC Films’ Aquaman. Now, we finally have confirmation – but get ready to wait a few more weeks. Director James Wan announced on Twitter that the Aquaman trailer will premiere at San Diego Comic-Con next month. The convention lasts from July 19th to July 22nd this year. According to Deadline and TVline, Hartley Sawyer (Ralph Dibney) and Danielle Nicolet (Cecille Horton) have both been upped from recurring roles to series regular roles on The CW’s The Flash. Ralph was rescued from The Thinker’s brain when we last saw him. We aren’t quite sure what the results will be from him being merged with the other metas, so that will be interesting to see if he deals with other powers than his stretchiness. Marvel Studios’ first 2019 blockbuster, Captain Marvel, is currently in the final weeks of production. This week, we have confirmation of the composer for this movie’s score. Composer Pinar Toprak announced on Instagram that she is scoring Captain Marvel. She is the first female composer to take on a major superhero movie, Marvel or otherwise. New AQUAMAN Stills Reveal the Villainous Black Manta and Orm
Entertainment Weekly is exploring the world of DC Films’ Aquaman in this week’s issue. In addition to the covers we saw earlier, the magazine debuted several still images from the movie. Some of them offer long-awaited first looks at the film’s villains, Black Manta and Orm. The Black Manta picture sees David Kane (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) working on his helmet, which is very faithful to the comic book version.
