EA Announces New STAR WARS Game
Star Wars Battlefront II: Inferno Squad During EA’s E3 conference, we learned of a new Star Wars adventure game. Respawn Entertainment and EA are teaming up for a game set in-between Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: A New Hope. As of now, it’s slated for a 2019 holiday release. According to the site, the show is looking to cast a character with codenamed David, a 20-something male with dark hair. David is described as a powerful and merciless individual, and he is kept as a prisoner in a mysterious lab. Two More Writers Working on SUICIDE SQUAD 2
It’s been a while since we got an update on the Suicide Squad sequel. Originally set to begin production this fall, the film was pushed back to accommodate for Harley Quinn spinoff Birds of Prey. But now, we have word of two new writers who have been added to the team. Writer/actor Todd Stashwick has told DC Movie News (via Batman-News) that he is working on the Suicide Squad 2 script, alongside David Bar Katz and director Gavin O’Conner. Matthew Vaughn Confirms Plans for KINGSMAN Cinematic Universe and KICK-ASS Reboot
Matthew Vaughn has been a frequent collaborator with comic book writer Mark Millar, having adapted his work with 2010’s Kick-Ass and the two Kingsman movies. Now, he’s confirmed that he will continue working on both franchises, via his Marv Studios. Speaking with Empire Online, Vaughn reveals plans for a Kick-Ass reboot. IRON FIST Season 2 Will Arrive This Year
Production recently wrapped on Iron Fist‘s second season. While a lot of details are still under wraps, it looks like the new season will be out sooner than expected. During a Reddit AMA, Marvel television head Jeph Loeb confirmed that Iron Fist season two is “coming this year.” Netflix has already released Jessica Jones season two this year, with Luke Cage‘s second season arriving later this month. A few months ago, Diane Nelson, president of DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Consumer Products, took an unexpected leave of absence. She cited family-related issues for her break. Now, however, it looks like her break will be a permanent one. It has been announced (via The Hollywood Reporter) that Diane Nelson is leaving Warner Bros. and DC, after more than 20 years of working with the studio. Full Trailer for SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE Released
Sony has released a new trailer for its animated Spider-Man movie, Into the Spider-Verse. The film marks the big screen debut of Miles Morales, the Ultimate Spider-Man who was created in 2011. The trailer is chock full of new footage, depicting Miles being trained by an older Peter Parker. The trailer also shows off the movie’s jaw-dropping animation, new characters, and so much more. Wally West Won’t Be a Series Regular on LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Next Season
Keiynan Lonsdale’s Wally West was a key supporting character on The Flash for a couple years, before leaving during its fourth season. He went on to join Legends of Tomorrow in the second half of this past season, and he was arguably a better fit there than he ever was on Flash. Unfortunately, even that has to come to an end. Jared Leto is Developing His Own Joker Movie Now
Following Jared Leto’s debut as Joker in Suicide Squad, fans have been wondering when we’d see him pop up next. There has been talk of Leto returning for a Harley Quinn vs. Joker movie, Gotham City Sirens, and/or a Suicide Squad sequel.
