Yesterday, it was announced that The CW will be expanding the world of Arrow and The Flash with Vixen, an animated series that will stream on The CW Seed this fall. The spin-off will be overseen by Arrow writer and executive producer Marc Guggenheim, who has talked in detail with Comic Book Resources about what to expect. Greg Berlanti is a busy man.  Just a day after releasing an updated press release for the series, the CW has offered up a premiere date and trailer for iZombie.  The show will premiere Tuesday, March 17th (presumably following The Flash) and judging by the tone of the trailer will have a very similar tone to Executive Producer Rob Thomas’ previous series, Veronica Mars. In fact, the trailer points out the link. The CW’s panel at the Television Critics Association winter press tour is taking place today, and the network has just announced its early renewals for the 2015-2016 season. As expected, new series The Flash will return for a second season. The DC superhero show’s pilot was the most watched episode in the network’s history, and with the rest of its episodes performing wonderfully in ratings, this was an easy choice of renewal. After about a month of being rumored for the role alongside Oprah Winfrey and Octavia Spencer, Oscar nominated actress Viola Davis confirmed that she was reworking her schedule to play Amanda Waller in the Suicide Squad film. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has released the second clip from its next animated DC film, Justice League: Throne of Atlantis. The following scene from the Justice League: War sequel sees Hal Jordan (Nathan Fillion) attempting to score a date with a woman, when suddenly, The Flash (Christopher Gorham) intervenes to inform him that the Justice League is needed for a new mission. The film, which adapts the acclaimed “Throne of Atlantis” story arc, serves as an origin story for Arthur Curry/Aquaman. Watch the new clip below, and stay tuned for more news as we have it.
