VENOM Soars Past $800 Million Worldwide
Sony’s Venom continues its global domination, as the movie has surpassed another key box office milestone. Venom may be slowing down in North America, where it has grossed $211.7 million, but it is still going strong overseas, thanks to record-breaking numbers in China. Internationally, the film has grossed a whopping $610.8 million. This brings its worldwide total to $822.5 million. These numbers make Venom the 14th highest grossing superhero movie of all time worldwide, and it is the fifth biggest film of 2018 so far. In fact, it has outgrossed all but two installments of Sony’s Spider-Man franchise. For all the talk of a Venom movie needing Spider-Man, it looks…

Anime Review: HOW TO KEEP A MUMMY
How To Keep A Mummy follows Sora Kashiwagi who one day gets a mysterious packet containing a mummy. A mummy that can fit the palm on his hand How To Keep A Mummy is based on the manga by the same name, created by the mangaka Kakeru Utsugi. This series is in essence what happens when you blend Tamagochi and classic horror monsters with the formula of a sweet slice of life anime. If you expect any form of horror, turn back from the show faster then Barry Allen uses the speed force. This show isn’t something for the person that wants a high philosophical story like Cowboy Bebop, comedic insanities…

Recap: ARROW S7 E6 – Due Process
As we get further along in the first quarter of the season, our main story starts to fall into place. This episode begins with Laurel visiting Oliver. She tells him everything that’s been going with his case. Ollie immediately dismisses Laurel, saying that she doesn’t care about anyone but herself, how Felicity would never work with Black Siren. Oliver’s been out of the loop for a few months, but his attitude is was uncalled for. Still, it’s a testament to how things have changed since he was locked up. After the disbandment of Level Two, Level One has upped its security. Stanley gets sent to The Hole for the murder of…

Anime Review: BOBOBO-BO BO-BOBO
When the evil empire is forcing everyone to go bald, it’s up to a man with enormous nose hair and afro of gold called Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo (yes that’s his actual name) to save people’s free hair. I’m wondering what the Mangaka (the word you use for manga creator) was thinking when he created the manga that this anime is based on. It has a great message behind insanity going haywire. Some of you that might have seen this hair-raiser may be confused over that sentence. I’m not talking about the insanity part. I might have gone a bit too low with that hairline. I have stretched the string more than…

Recap: ARROW S7 E5 – The Demon
After the revelations from the last episode, we dive deeper into the workings of Level Two. Oliver sees just how twisted Dr. Parker’s practice is, plus we also meet an old friend. We learn that The Demon is none other than Talia Al Ghul, daughter of the demon. Pretty easy call but cool none the less. Especially considering she was left for dead at the end of season 5. The two have to set aside their differences and work together and escape. This is a simple episode but it’s tons of fun. We have three stories going. Ollie and Talia breaking out of Level Two, Curtis regaining his fighting spirit,…

A WOBAM Thanksgiving
Hi, everyone! It’s been a while, but in the spirit of the holidays and reminiscing on joining WOBAM Entertainment, I’d like to reflect on the online community I’ve become a part of in the past 2 years, and how I’m beyond thankful for being able to join in. I know for a fact that we here at WOBAM are all tremendously thankful for our readers. Recap: ARROW S7 E3 – Crossing Lines
So we’re back with another Arrow review! Sorry for the delay but life got in the way. We’ll be using this holiday break to catch up. All reviews are going up as soon as I finished the episode. So I’m not caught up with current events (so episodes 4-6). It keeps things fun. I don’t want to review an episode and already know where the plot is going. So let’s talk about Crossing Lines. With Oliver in prison, Felicity has taken the fight against Diaz into her own hands. She wants to join forces with Agent Watson, the very person who ended Team Arrow last season. This time Diaz and…

SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE Tracking for $30-40 Million Opening Weekend
We’re just a few weeks away from the release of Sony’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which is already generating very positive buzz. Now, the animated movie has hit the tracking boards. Right now, Into the Spider-Verse is on track to open anywhere between $30 and $40 million. The movie’s production budget is currently unknown, but these are some pretty solid numbers. They should only go higher as we get closer to its release date. Either way, it should get in a good opening before the next week is dominated by Aquaman and Bumblebee. Another thing to consider: Very few animated superhero films get a theatrical release. Most of them, primarily…
