Review: ATTACK ON TITAN Season 3 Episodes 2-6
Just like with the Eden Zero review HERE, the missing episodes of Attack on Titans will be reviewed all at once. When I last left them off, Eren and the gang had gotten ambushed by The Military Police. To make matters worse, it looks like the leader of the squad that ambushes them is someone that has a dark history with Levi. Where the anime is right now, shows perfectly why many calls this show Japan’s The Walking Dead. Instead of focusing on Titan killing action, there is now a lot more political conflicts inside the wall. But honestly? I think Attack on Titans execute the “trust no one” scenario…

Review: NARUTO THE MOVIE: BLOOD PRISON
Naruto needs to reclaim his honor after he gets convicted for a crime he did not commit. The reason I give you this review is that I need tomorrow to work on the last parts of the other two planned posts. But I refuse to have you go empty handed today, so here is a review just for you. As someone who ain’t that big on the Naruto movies since they are fillers, Blood Prison made me question why I hadn’t seen them in the first place. It’s not a masterpiece, don’t get me wrong. But I did find myself having a good time watching it from beginning to end.…

Opinion: Top 5 Shonen Jump Villains
5. Light Yagami (Death Note) While Light Yagami is the main lead of Death Note, he is also a villain. He is charismatic, together with an intelligence that you can’t help but to see if he get’s away with his deeds. He ends up this low because of a certain event. If you have read the manga/watch the anime you know what I’m talking about 4. Zeref Dragneel (Fairy Tail) Zeref is a perfect example of a tragic villain with massive potential. He would have been much higher on the list (maybe even first place) if it wasn’t for some misses down the line. 3. Cell (Dragon Ball Z) When…

Review: ONE PIECE FILM: GOLD
Luffy and his friends are on their way to Gran Tesoro. The largest entertainment city in the world. But what was meant to be a lot of fun, soon escalates to a lot of troubles. Golden troubles. One Piece is one of these IPs that is a trip and a half (but In a positive way). The movie is a worthy installation in this juggernaut of a franchise. It’s a fever dream of colors action and pure insanity just like a good One Piece script should be. Like the yesterday’s review, it would benefit you to watch the anime if you want to watch it, but I find this being…

Review: FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST THE MOVIE: CONQUEROR OF SHAMBALLA
Edward Electric, an alchemist from a different world, races to prevent an evil society to bring chaos and war to his homeland. For some of you, adding FMA might feel like a franchise that might not be the most obvious choice for a week like Shonen Jump. The reason I chose the franchise is this. Fullmetal Alchemist is a franchise that I think deserves more credit. Yes, it is quite popular, but not in the same league as Dragon Ball, Naruto or One Piece. If I had the time, I would have reviewed one of the animes (and yes reviews of both will come in due time). So instead, you…

VIDEO FEATURE: MY HERO ACADEMIA – What is a Hero?
Superheroes have taken the world by storm. Watch their movies, their shows, read their books and even play their games. We are obsessed with heroes. But what actually is a hero? That’s a question I hope to answer by looking at the World’s Number One Hero, All Might. In the world of My Hero Academia over 80% of the population has a power (or quirk). These abilities lead to “superhero” becoming a profession. People become heroes for fame, for money, or just to help the world become a better place. This leads us to a young man name Toshinori Yagi. He wants to help the world. He believes that the…

Legendary’s DETECTIVE PIKACHU Movie Switches to Warner Bros.
A couple years ago, Legendary Pictures and The Pokémon Company struck a deal to create live action movies based on the Pokémon franchise. The first installment is Detective Pikachu, a live action/CGI hybrid based on the recent video game. Ryan Reynolds will voice the titular Pokémon, with Justice Smith, Ken Watanabe, and Rita Ora also in the cast. Now, the film has a new distributor. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Detective Pikachu is moving from Universal to Warner Bros. for distribution. This comes as Legendary is looking to renew its distribution deal with WB, after signing with Universal in 2013. While Legendary and WB collaborated a couple times since –…

Review: ATTACK ON TITAN Season 3 Episode 1
Holy animation craze Batman. Three manga/anime related reviews in such a short amount of time? Maybe I should change my twitter handle to Animemaniacs after all. Anyway, after my week of Attack on Titan related posts, it felt like a no-brainer to cover season 3. Wasn’t so sure if I should do an episode by episode review, or an overall season review like the previous two. But after some days of thinking, I decided to try the former just for the sake of it. Without further ado, let the review begin. The mystery from season two just keeps getting bigger as Eren and his friends are on the run. Unlike…

Review: DRAGON BALL HEROES Episode 2
While the search for Trunk continues, Goku, Vegeta, and Mai cross path with a mysterious foe who wields a weird KI. Even though I got some flack for my review for this point, It’s worth repeating. Dragon Ball Heroes continues to be a massive disappointment. Just because they said that this is what we would be getting, doesn’t mean that we have to eat it up you are some mindless drone. I give the episode this; It’s far better than the pilot episode. The animation is of higher quality, the action (the little that they manage to squeeze in) was far more engaging, even though I still felt like watched…
