Arrowverse’s Batwoman Crossover Casts Cassandra Jean Amell as Nora Fries
This year’s Arrowverse crossover event is a big one, despite not involving Legends of Tomorrow. The event introduces Batwoman and Lois Lane to the universe, while Superman is returning. Now, The CW has announced another key addition. Cassandra Jean Amell – aka the real-life wife of Arrow star Stephen Amell – is set to play Nora Fries in the crossover. Fries is the wife of Batman villain Victor Fries, aka Mr. Freeze. However, don’t expect the cool villain to show up and break the ice in the event. Amell’s past credits include America’s Next Top Model, Mad Men, and more. Nora’s exact role in the crossover is being kept under…

For you that are aware of the Swamp Thing mythos, Abigail Arcane is the wife of Swamp Thing, created by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson. Her first appearance was in Swamp Thing #3 in 1973. This marks Reed’s second DC TV role; she previously played Sofia Falcone on Gotham. The second actress is Maria Sten, who will be playing…

Alec Baldwin Has Already Exited JOKER Movie
Two days ago, it was reported that Alec Baldwin had joined the cast of Warner Bros.’ Joker movie as Thomas Wayne, aka the father of Bruce Wayne/Batman. It was a fun thought while it lasted, however. Baldwin tells USA Today that he has dropped out of Joker, citing a scheduling conflict. “I’m no longer doing that movie. I’m sure there are 25 guys who can play that part.” Scheduling conflicts happen all the time, but it’s odd how Baldwin cites it just two days after his casting was first reported. Wouldn’t something like that be decided upon beforehand? Thomas Wayne is reportedly being depicted as a “cheesy and tanned” businessman, compared to 1980s…

JOKER Casts Alec Baldwin as Thomas Wayne
Warner Bros.’ Joker movie has been assembling a truly impressive cast for a comic book film. Joaquin Phoenix is set to play the future Clown Prince of Crime, with Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, and more filling out the supporting cast. Traditionally, Wayne is depicted as a physician and philanthropist. But according to The Hollywood Reporter, this movie will portray Wayne as a “cheesy and tanned” businessman, a la 1980s Donald Trump. Given Baldwin’s performance as Trump on SNL, this move makes…
