Marc Guggenheim Discusses ARROW’s 100th Episode and Supergirl’s Role in the Big Crossover Event
The CW’s DC TV crossover event will easily be the biggest one yet. The story will combine four shows – Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow – into a three-episode arc. This even includes the 100th episode of Arrow, which will serve as the ultimate love letter to the show despite the crossover. First Look: SUPERGIRL’s James Olsen Transforms into Guardian
Earlier this week, it was announced that James Olsen will take on the mantle of DC Comics hero Guardian this season on Supergirl. This marks a surprising twist for the infamous photographer. Now, DC has released a first-look image of Olsen fully suited up as the new vigilante. Unlike the classic Guardian design, Supergirl‘s iteration does not have any gold. It’s a silverish gray armored suit and mask, complete with a shield. (Yeah, I’m not big on this design either.) Check out the Guardian suit below, and stay tuned for more as we have it.

First Official Look at Amber Heard’s Mera in JUSTICE LEAGUE
Justice League will serve as the big screen debut for Mera, the Queen of Atlantis and love interest of Aquaman. Amber Heard plays the character in this movie, and she will return with a much bigger role in 2018’s Aquaman. Now, we have a first look at Mera. SUPERGIRL’s James Olsen Will Suit Up as Guardian Later This Season
Supergirl made its second season premiere on The CW last night, and it was a strong beginning to the new year. Later this season, we’ll meet new characters such as Miss Martian, Maggie Sawyer and Snapper Carr. But on a surprising note, Jimmy James Olsen will take on the mantle of a DC Comics superhero. At a press screening today (via Entertainment Weekly), it was announced that James will become Guardian on Supergirl later this season. SyFy’s KRYPTON Pilot Adds Six More to Cast
Previously, SyFy announced that actors Cameron Cuffe and Georgina Campbell will star in the Krypton pilot, which explores the planet’s history before its destruction and the birth of Kal-El. Now, via Deadline, the network has announced the remainder of the series regular cast. Below is a list of the actors as well as their characters. Ian McElhinney (Game of Thrones) will play Val-El, the grandfather of Seg-El (Cuffe), great-grandfather of Jor-El, and the great-great-grandfather of Kal-El. Funko Unveils Pop! Figures Based on BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES
To this day, Batman: The Animated Series is one of the all-time greatest adaptations of the Dark Knight and his world. Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill’s Batman and Joker, respectively, are extremely iconic, while the show marked the debut of fan-favorite Harley Quinn. William Shatner to Voice Two-Face in the Next BATMAN 66 Animated Movie
This week at New York Comic-Con, Warner Bros. held the world premiere of Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders, an animated return to the world of the 1966 series. The movie will be screened in select theaters on Monday, before a digital release on Tuesday and a Blu-Ray debut in November. During the panel, it was announced that a sequel to Return of the Caped Crusaders is coming next year. Sony Pictures Picks Up Biopic on William Moulton Marston, the Creator of Wonder Woman
Diana Prince’s origin story will finally be told on the big screen with next year’s Wonder Woman. But it looks like the character’s backstory will be told in a completely different setting in another movie. According to Deadline, Sony Pictures has acquired the worldwide distribution rights to Professor Marston and the Wonder Women, which details the true story of Wonder Woman’s creator. Luke Evans stars as Dr. William Moulton Marston, the psychologist who created the Wonder Woman character in 1941 with his wife, Elizabeth (Rebecca Hall). Justice League has officially finished production in the UK, and there’s still some filming to do in Iceland before it’s a wrap. SUICIDE SQUAD Extended Cut Coming to Home Video Later This Year
Back in August, Warner Bros. released Suicide Squad, the third installment of the DC Extended Universe. Despite negative reviews from critics, the film was a hit at the box office. To date, the movie has grossed $739.2 million (and counting) worldwide. Now, Suicide Squad‘s home video details have been announced, with a twist. Warner Bros. has confirmed that an “Extended Cut” of Suicide Squad will be released on Digital Download on November 15th, with the Blu-Ray following on December 13th. (The DVD only has the theatrical version.) The extended, unrated version of the film will include 13 minutes of new footage.
